Will a HALO 3 flop be BIGGER than the Metroid Prime 3 Flop?????

According to the new scoreing system Zelda:TP is a AAA game, 8.8 is 9.0.

The fact that the Bungie team is very dedicated, and Halo 3 is Microsoft's flagship title I highly doubt it will flop. Also, Metroid Prime 3 was not a flop.Brettheman12

GS will not flop Halo 3 because it has the word 'Halo' in the title. Every gaming site will start their ratings for the game at the very least a 9.0 and build up from there. Just like the other overhyped/overrated games in the series. It's sad really.Flauntais

Halo has always had some of the best FPS gameplay, thats one thing that hurt Prime 3.

Concerning the feeling of deja vu, none of the videos I've seen remind me of Halo 2. The gameplay is also different because of the sheer size of the maps and the amount of enemies and vehicle in the fights. Of course the AI will help that as well, with enemies using Equipment and such.

It doesn't need to be innovative to be great, it's just that Gamespot flopped TP and MP:C for lack of this. Now, if they don't flop Halo 3 they will be the biggest hypocrites in the world...

Its a sequal, of course the games will be similar. But the videos I've seen don't remind me at all of Halo 2.

It won't flop because the gamesites need gamers to make their money. Halo is the biggest money maker out there, and the biggest draw for the kind of gamers that frequent game sites. You can flop MP3 because you will earn as many hardcore gamers as you lose. You could even flop Bioshock and not piss off too many people (I know it didn't flop). But you can't flop Halo3 because Halo gamers are the life blood of websites like this. Halo3 is potentially AAA on its own merits, but it was pretty much guaranteed AAA before a single line of code was written

Halo 3 flopping would be an EPIC event. It would be 3x's worse than the MP3 flop. Account suicide posts would run rampant. Mods and admin would have to be on standy for the madness. But if Halo 3 flops or not, I wouldnt know for at least 2 days. The store Im getting mine from is doing some midnight madness crap.

So im leaving work an hour early, picking my copy up, head home, have my beer and tequilla ready and the next day Im off of work. Ill check the forums 2 days after I get my copy of Halo 3. Good luck lemmings.... :shock:

I honestly think Halo is the one exception, especially at gamespot. They would risk losing too many of their customers to 1up or whoever else gives it a 9 or above.

On the one hand it would be alot bigger, because of the build up to this third and last installment of what is HALO (for gods sake :-)).

But on the other hand it wouldn't be so big, because MP3 was supposed to kickstart the Wii's depressing library, and help show the hardcores that Nintendo still do think of them, so Nintendo had alot more on the line then M$ has at the moment. Because M$ already have the greatest library of all the consoles.
