Will ALL of the new PS3 EXLUSIVES flop????

Please, this is a serious question; keep the fanboyism to a minimum 

I've seen Cows claim that Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Uncharted will flop

Lair - iffy graphics, boring gameplay, short game

Heavenly Sword - a button masher, a worse copy of God of War (but with better graphics)

Uncharted - this one seems to have a better outlook, but I've seen cows claim they should be hyping heavenly sword not Uncharted because it has a high chance of flopping - i don't know why besides its short

So, do you think all three of these games have a chance of flopping ---- or shall I say, not living up to their hype????

I see a row of Solid 8's and perhaps a 9 or two.

At least they are new IP's.

Dead Rising and Lost Planet didn't get 9's and they both rock.

We know very little about Final Fantasy or its release date.

However, much information has been released about the three titles in question and they have been hyped to death - also they are all coming out in '07

Hey! If you're going to pull a figure out of your backside at least make it a believable one!

My bet is that all of 'em will flop with uncharted at top with the dreaded 8.6 or 8.8., at least here in this realm. 2 of 3 will get a 90% at gamerankings though ;)raualex

That's a pretty drab outlook for PS3's 2007.  Cows think they have it hard in these forums now...

what determines a flop? sales or GS rating? regardless for all to get a 8 or above WOULD be considered good. LOKI-RA

Personally, I consider it a game not living up to its hype - all three of these games were hyped AAA at some point

however, if ANY of these games fail to make AA --- it will be some major floppage ie. Motorstorm

When a game flops and gets a high 8 instead of a 9..you normally get a day or two of "TEH FLOP" then they shut up cause they know an 8 is still good. Just look at zelda, paper mario, lost planet, dead rising, I'm pretty sure they all received the traditional "FLOP LOLZ" and now they are all considered great games. Resistance flopped but nobody talks bad about it cause its still  a good game.

Yea'. I'm prolly just prepearing myself for "dissapointment" :)

That said All three are must haves for me, I'm just going telling what I think the reviewers will give the games. And I'm getting a feeling that the reviewers here probe the wii and ps3 games more than the xbox games where they (imo) let things slide much eaiser.

My bet is that Halo3 will score highest at gamespot :D

the only one i see flopping is uncharted i just dont see what cows see.

but lair and heavenly sword i expect to get good scores

the games were announced by the companies, not hyped. People do that themselves. All these games looks impressive and i can't wait to try them out. PS.   Motorstorm looked, played amazing but because it's short it bombed??? Wasn't gears in the same boat????LOKI-RA

I find it funny how Cow defend Blu-ray because it give developers more freedom and not be hindered by short games (such as Gears)

BUT THEN... the MAIN PROBLEM with every PS3 exclusive is that its TOO SHORT

AND THIS IS SOMEHOW ACCEPTABLE????

Lair will get AA.

Heavenly Sword will get AAA.

Uncharted will get AAA.

My crystal ball is on a roll today.

All depends on what they are hyped. Most of the new games are hyped AA at this point.
