Will any shooter ever be better than MW3?

I just got MW3 and wow, it is the best shooter I have ever played in my life. It's gameplay is perfect, sure it may have not changed much from past COD games but who cares? When it's this good it's ok.

It's online is so feature rich but it succeeds because it has both quality AND quantity, where as other FPS games only have quality (KZ) and others only have quantity (Halo), Modern Warfare 3 has both.

I am having a blast with Survival and just the game in general. I do not see how any other shooter this year can top it EXCEPT for Black Ops 2. Far Cry 3, Halo 4....Planet Side 2, Amar.....none of those games look like they have anything that can beat it, let alone match it. Borderlands 2 might have better co-op though, but overall it has nothing on MW3 or Black Ops.

Really after playing MW3 I don't need any other shooter. Black Ops 2 will be the shooter for many years to come, day 1 buy. I don't care if internet nerds want to be cool and pretend to hate it, I don't see anything beating COD. Seriously nothing else even comes close.

I should have gotten MW3 a long time ago.

MW3 had bad map design and the single player was forgettable. MW2 was much better. The environments were alot better.

MW3 has great maps, Sea Town is awesome. I love just sitting in a room and killing people when they run by. I get huge kills and no deaths. The campaign in MW3 is much better than MW2, but not quite as over the top. But it is much longer than MW2 campaign, which I consider the shortest (still good though).

COD4 and Black Ops have the best campaigns.

Battlefield is boring, you just walk around and it takes forever to get to the objective. You only get like 1 or 2 kills the entire match because you rarely ever come across people to shoot, the match is full but where are they at?

And everyone hogs the vehicles and won't share them, so by the time you finally make it to the objective the match is over. Totally boring and not worth the money, plus online pass sucks.

Completely incorrect. Vehicles respawn all the time when destroyed.

Halo is outdated gameplay. You can't even aim down sights....and it takes like hundreds of rounds from a machine gun to kill someone. Only good thing about the games are the features, but that's it. Only Borderlands 2 is the good FPS you mentioned. The others are just forgettable and have nothing on COD.

There are only a small number of maps, but they are quite large, however there are very few game modes to play. So I usually end up playing the one where you go to the objective and take it over (like Domination in COD but a really bad version of it). '

So I start the match, I choose my class (usually either an Engineer or a Sniper) and then everyone just takes all the vehicles. So now I am left alone, my squad is useless because they are somewhere else, so I just spend the entire game running around.

Now if I choose to go the objective I will end up dying and just spawn and have to run all the way back. By the time I am halfway there the match is over and I only got like 2 or 3 kills and only like 2 or 3 deaths.

As you can see, BF is quite boring. This is why I call it walking field because that's all you do. You just walk around. Only the explosive environments are cool, everything else sucks. And most of time when I did die, it was from my team members who ran me over because they wouldn't get out of the vehicle even though I told them to.

I couldn't even finish the campaign it was so bad.

Deus Ex, the Doom games, Halo, and Counter Strike are all far better than Cod in my opinion.

Cod is still pretty fun if I have some time to kill. In no way is it bad, just there are far better options imo.

I won't say you are trolling but here is why I am not a fan of COD (and I do own MW2/3):

Single Player: Very linear. I respect how some people like linear and I will say that the story can be captivating. However I will take a non-linear and very complex game like Crysis for single player. So many different ways to attack and move through the environment. Add outstanding graphics and great physics and that is why I much prefer single player Crysis to COD. Plus I am finding the campaigns are running pretty thin and redundant.

Multiplayer: I do respect that the COD community is very large and active (at least on consoles). However I like my online MP FPS to be competitive and very balanced. CS 1.6, CS:S and now CS:GO are the pinnacle of competitive team-based FPS. The graphics are not amazing but CS:GO on the PC is actually much better than MW3 (which isn't saying a lot for either engine but the Source engine has been updated much better).

Battlefield 3 is not as slow paced as many like to think. Some maps are very close quartered and fast paced. The only downfall for BF3 is the way the servers are set up through Origin. Just horrible.

So I just think the COD series is a jack of all trades; master of none. They put together a nice package but I would even take the Halo Franchise anyday over the COD franchise. Halo is a bit higher in the competitive scene and the single player is about on-par with the COD campaigns. But this is all just my opinion too...

That is a movie. Not a game.

Black Ops had a scence right out of the Deer Hunter. The scene in the game where the VietCong make you play Russian Roulette, but the movie was far more gory and controversial at the time. Just further proof that COD is pushing the boundery even further. Can't wait to see them do it again in Black Ops 2.

Like I said BF is not a good game. COD is much better. There were some people with mics but they muted me when I was telling them how much better COD was.

SNIPER4321 threads have more quality than MW3.

Honestly MAG destorys so many FPS'. That game will never get its due because of terrible graphics. The game has so much right with the OIC, Platoon leaders and squad leaders. The maps were great and matched each faction perfectly, the factions were such a nice addition, never seen anything like it on consoles before. The skill point system was good to start and got better over time. I'm shocked how much Zipper supported the game even though it was pretty dead 7-8 months after release.Grawse

I already have it, I have all the COD games this gen. I've had MW2 for a long time, it's great and I like sniping in it, especially on Wasteland. I own on that level!

Wasteland is also my map, i always Nuke in that map.. i think i have also triple nuked it.. ah Nuke is such a fun streak.. join me one time i always go after nukes
