Will Bloodborne be the G.O.A.T. ARPG when it's released?

Hey I know...........why don't we start a thread to discuss if its a JRPG or not? We haven't had one of those in a while. On topic: game will be great, if you are a cow, it will be the latest second coming.

Are you talking about topics here in System Wars? This is hardly the place to go if you want to see the lore of Souls games being discussed. On other forums, fansites, and subreddits dedicated to the Souls games, there is tons of discussion about the lore. There are several popular YouTubers who discuss and analyze the lore in the three games. As for why new threads are made about "how do you beat this boss:" that's obviously what new players are most likely to post about.

And besides fans, reviewers have praised the Souls games for their story, atmosphere, and worldbuilding.

You can't really expect active discussion in SW of a game that's fairly old now.

I'd recommend playing the games yourself however rather than spoiling any of the cool lore, it's way more fun to discover this stuff on your own.

I browse other sites than just SW. It seems to me that the only thing driving people to play games like this is the crushing difficulty level.

No idea why people say that boss battle was hard. I think I beat it during my 2nd attempt. It was super easy.

Yes if that's the only one. Another linear pathway game so we can kills these 3 to 4 baddies before we can move on but hey its pretty at 1080p and that's what matter to the COWboys

None of the souls games are linear in progression, lol.

If the Souls games are any indication than Bloodborne will be fucking terrific.

The gameplay in that franchise is superb, and I expect From Software to be on point in that department with Bloodborne.

Game of all time? Seems pretty unlikely. It looks to be a solid fighting game, and it's sure to be difficult but I don't see GOAT in it's future.

Just heed my warning is all. If you don't end up getting disappointed, then great. If you do, don't blame me.

Why would I heed anything you ever have to say? When it's clear that 99% of the time you have no clue what you are even talking about.

I think so, because I dont see any games that get close to it in terms of high polish gameplay style other than Deep Down or a potential Dragons Dogma 2.

Maybe FFXV buts that looks more mainstream and simplistic.

hype actually doesn't matter, is just a measure of how popular a game is, the game will be good or bad regardless of how many people are expecting it, as for bloodborne, well i have loved every soul game (yes even ds2) so why should i expect any different.

This post demonstrates your lack of knowledge on the history of Japanese media. The Souls franchise are pretty much 3D versions of old JRPGs like Faxandu, ActRaiser, and Terranigma combined with anime such as Hellsing and Berserk. Heck, Bloodborne looks like they are taking inspiration from Hellsing to a whole new level. It's a JRPG, m8.

Except its graphics are underwhelming, its animations and interactions are largely just copy pasted from dark souls....

and there is no gameplay of progression.

Its just a next gen dark souls game.... given that people think they get worse with each iteration, and that Bloodborne "Is aimed at a larger crowd" we have no idea what kind of REAL quality it will be.
