Do I need to bring up how popular MGS franchise is that dont need of any advertisment thru brawl to be a success? In the end if MGS4 will sell good youll say that Brawl made this happen. I think Snake is in Brawl for Nintendo's sake...not to advertise the Metal Gear Solid series.
Not really..Brawl would sell incredibly without snake in it...Melee sold more copies on GC than MGs3 on PS2's 110million fanbase...Hideo Kojima said he is a fan of the Smash series and requested snake be in it..Overall though it benefits both sides..
