I want a PAL release too, and I absolutely refuse to import any more games after the times I imported Disgaea DS (Got sent with French instructions) and Blazblue (Took ages... ended up not coming, was refused refund, couldn't do anything about it) and then they both ended up being announced for UK release anyway, so I'm just going to patiently wait for the likely PAL release. (It apparently sold pretty well so that must be an incentive for publishers)

I would say import it. First of all, its worth it. Second of all, Atlus apparently has vastly underestimated the popularity of this game. I think they thought we were all big babies that didnt know how to play hard games anymore. Well, we proved them wrong.

Yeah, I have been a tad unlucky it seems. I think I'll likely wait until the end of the year to see if there's an announcement of a PAL release before I consider importing. I'd rather have the PAL version if I know the game's going to get released here.
No, and here's why Sony owns the Demon's Souls IP help develop it along side From Software then published the game in Japan. Sony had the intention of keeping it there. After the word of mouth spread, Atlus U.S.A. decided to approach Sony to localize the game for the U.S. and they agree obviously, here's the killer, Atlus doesn't have a European branch so, in order for Demon's Souls to be localized in Europe either another publisher has to aquire the rights from Sony to allow it to be released in Europe or Sony has to do it themselves and since Sony never planned on it leaving Japan, that is not happening. Europeans just better hope if Demon's Souls 2 is made Sony has more faith in it to give it a worldwide release or else it may stay only in Japan or Atlus U.S.A. will try to publish it once again leaving Europe out in the cold.
