I forgot where I read it or watched it at, but someone said it would be more user friendly because you could change the difficulty settings.

IGN confirmed that the game starts with a choice of two difficulties: Human and Devil Hunter. Human will be easy meanwhile Devil Hunter will be the normal mode. But DMC games normal modes are usually on par with other games hard modes.
