Nope. The name of the game is really stupid anyways. If they do release it they should just call it something else because the last thing any game should ever want to be associated with is Final Fantasy 13.
At this point, there is really no reason to even hope it comes out. No matter how good it is, this length of anticipation will only lead to disappointment. Same thing goes for The Last Guardian.

FF13 and FF13-2 were both garbage, so I don't see why this would be any different.

The Kingdom Hearts Team. On top of it Nomura is the main designer, artist, writer and director for this game while Toriyama has no talent. Just look at his prior game where he acted as director, FFX-2 and the writer for the 3rd Birthday. The guy not only ruined FF but the Parasite Eve franchise too with his bad taste.
im more excited to see finalstar comment in this thread than any other thing related to this new gen of ff games... that a re pretty much a waste of time and care.
well, its not like most people are waiting for just this game. it might end up being good. if it is, then we get a good game. if it isnt, there are others.
After 6 years it kinda has to be fantastic or the backlash will be immense. Personally I think it looks great but Ill remain skeptical as the story end of things could be atrocious.
It may have been worth the wait... years ago. But now with all the high quality games out there (Xenoblade, Skyrim, etc) and Square's inconsistencies in quality with the mainline FF games, I don't believe so.
Think about it this way, the trailer shown back in E3 2006 was just beautiful. It was our first time seeing such beautiful CGs. After more than half a decade of playing some of the most beautiful games I've seen, I would not be as impressed as I would be had it released ealier, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It just won't have that "Wow!!" factor anymore and I'll just look at it like it's another Final Fantasy game.
The wait has been stale, especially with Nomura giving next to nothing about the game every year. I've played Xenoblade recently, and it's going to be pretty hard for Versus to top that.
At this point in time, it could be the best FF game ever I still won't buy it, so I can give SE a big middle finger for taking almost a decade of releasing ONE ******* GAME!!!!
I doubt it will be a JRPG spending 6 years sitting on the edge of your computer chair eagerly waiting for a glimpse of. Howeover, there's a good chance it coudl turn out to be anywhere between good and great. Personally, I've stopped "waiting for it," so when it comes it comes and until then I'll play other things.
Theyve waited so long that the franchise has faded from relevance. Most of the people who gave two sh!ts (including me) have grown up, grown out of the franchise, and moved on with their lives, in the time since the game was announced.
No. No game is worth 6+ years of waiting. It will be great when and if it comes out but i sure as hell don't like having to have waited for over 6 years for it.
I think it'll be a multiplat in the end and I think cows will blow a gasket, so I don't think they'll think it was worth the wait regardless of whether it's good or not.
I never understood all the hype in the first place. All we saw was a cutscene. A cutscene with an awful hairdo.

They have shown more then just a single cutscene. There are gameplay trailers on youtube.
The newest trailer came out Jan 2011. It's long overdue for either another trailer or the actual game.
No point in waiting for this one.
ya you would be wasting your time anticipating this game. I was so pumped for this back in 06 but now i'm more of the mindset that "i'll just pretend it doesnt exist until its actually released"

Last Guardian will be disappointing after all the news i hear about it i have almost no hype for that. bit i may get back on the hype train if sony shows something interesting this year. As for FF VS XIII last year trailer got me excited and i am still waiting for it and for KH3 as well.
Hopefully they can save TLG. I won't be playing it but SOTC is still the best game ever made. Would be a shame to see them mess up a game
