Will gaming online on PS3 still be free...?

Is the new policy of paying for online only be for PS4 or will it also affect the PS3? I'm not clear with that part,

Online multiplayer is part of PS+ on the PS4 so no it wont be free anymore. Can't see them changing the PS3 version though, not this late.
