Will Gears 3 be on the PS3 Patcher Vs. Cliffy B.

Well I have seen a bunch of PS3 fans say Gears 3 will be on the PS3 because Michael Patcher said he thinks it would happen. Mind you Patcher is just a analyst for gaming from Wedbush Morgan. Even on the last Gametrailers bonus round he admits he is wrong a lot and this seems to be enough proof for many PS3 fans.

Of Cliffy B. saying not going to happen. He says in the video that they have a good partners with Microsoft and that Microsoft "markets the heck out of it". Incase you do not know Cliffy B. is the lead designer on Gears. Does anyone think Microsoft would "market the heck" out of a game that is also on the PS3? Sure they prolly still would some but not as much as when it was exclusive they would just put their money torwards a different game and let Epic front more of the cost. I do not see Epic wanting to loose that kind of money.

I know the interviewer from hiphopgamer is bad but it is Cliffy B. still saying that. Just had to post this because I thought it was funny since so manyPS3 fans are running around acting like it is pretty much a fact that gears would be on the PS3 just because of what Patcher said.

If cows want Gears that badly they can just go buy a 360, just like how they tell lemmings to buy a PS3 for MGS4.SpinoRaptor24

The guy has been wrong how many times before?

ANYONE can go ahead and say, "Gears 3 will be on the PS3." From a business standpoint it just seems like common sense, if the game is released to a wider audience then the game will sell more and thus make more money. It doesn't take an analyst to predict this, yet just because Michael Patcher says it, suddenly everyone takes it as fact and goes, "OOOO Gears 3 for the PS3"

Until Patcher is hired for Epic or Epic goes out and says Gears3 will be on the PS3 this is nothing but guessing. Patcher doing the guessing holds no more weight than you or me and in fact almost holds less weight simply because he has such a track record of being wrong. In fact I'd almost say he's saying big things like this just to draw attention to himself...

So in the end Gears going multiplat for the PS3 would not bring as much money to Epic as most think and it would also bring a lot more headaches for Epic in other Areas they do not have now. Also the PS3 being the console with the lowest software attach rate.

Being one of the best exclusives for one of the biggest companies in the world is a very nice thing to be.

errrrr no... this is the first thread ive seen regarding a geow gaming potentially goign to ps3. i have never heard cows say anything about wanting, or getting geow. so seriously, wth are you talking about?

Well, MS has the rights to 2 Gears games but im 100% sure that MS is not going to let Gears 3 go to the ps3.
