There's no way of knowing for sure until the game is released. Gears 2 was hyped, and alot of people here hate it. (Don't know why, I liked the game.)

Gears of war 2 was a horrendous, abominable, disturbingly bad game. Comparing it to Gears of war 1 is like comparing Viva pinata to Uncharted 2.
How was Gears 2 bad and horrendous?
Personally, I hated the game. It don't even consider it part of the Gears franchise. They changed the near perfect game play to a slow mess. Granted the story wasn't shake spear in Gears 1 they ruined it with the badly told story in Gears 2. And the graphics weren't any thing to marvel at compared to other games. It failed in all aspects.

Um... it looks pretty damn good. Also, if you play a Gears game (or most shooters) for the story, you're doing it wrong.

I think it'll be better. As good as Gears was standards have really gone up. Any tipple A games of today should be easily better than the original Gears.

I always here how people complain abouyt Gears 2 and its "Cringe" worthy Cutscenes.
Granted, The Dom and Maria scene was done poorly but I felt so bad for Marcus when SPOILERS Tai shoots himself and Benjamin Carmines SPOILER Death gave me a feel.
Gears 2 was great, whoever loved gears 1 and hates gears 2 does not make any sense... :roll: Those medications don't work, talk to your doctor... seek help!

Both have terrible stories and i'm sure Gears 3 won't be any different. I can agree with you on the bosses. Gears 2 final boss, if you can even call it that was a joke. The giant worm makes Gears 2 better for me. That was hilarious. :P

It wasn't done poorly generally. Voice acting wasn't terrible, nor was the execution. The problem was we didn't get attached to that particular relationship. Then PS3 fans ate it up.

Nah, I've seen the leaked. It had a fairly decent story, even when not counting it as a video game. Even IGN stated in there first act play through the narrative has been much improved.

I love both games and prefer Gears 1 darker tone anb atmosphere but, other than that, Gears 2 is a better game in every single aspect.

It makes sense but the fanatics saying that Gears 3 is graphics king definitely need to go see a psychiatrist and get some medication a.s.a.p lol Nope, doesn't make sense... as I said before, change the medics, talk to the doctor, seek help...
