Not sure of that. I looked at the games' credits and Halo 4 has a completely different staff with very few names. Either way, 343 and Bungie have a very different way of handling Halo. 343 screwed up twice in 2 strikes.

@Juub1990: Who cares? Frank O'Connor is still overseeing the franchise, and I don't give a rats ass who's making it. Cows are hyped for Horizon, but forgot who's developing that game and Guerilla Games also doesn't have a good track record neither.

You should because they fucked it up twice. Halo 4 was made into a COD clone and 5 is taking it a step further. ADS and shit like that. I'll wait to see how it turns out but I'm not holding my breath for a quality game. It seems what made Halo unique is slowly being stripped away and it's turning into a generic console shooter.

I've played all Halos and I can say that Halo 5 (from the beta) felt the best in terms of mechanics. It's modernized with the ability to sprint, while also adding ADS. Gunplay is as great as ever, with shooting actually feeling a little better. For purists, blind firing is still an incredibly viable option and the new mechanics are balanced with disadvantages (I believe your shield doesn't recharge while you run.) And everyone has access to the same classes. The multiplayer itself is looking to be top notch. Add in the single player that has me desiring the game most and this game should be received quite well. The only thing Microsoft needs to do all of September and October is market the game properly. Halo 3s marketing (including those awesome trailers) was what Microsoft should strive for with each main entry in the game, especially since we all know they can afford it.

Yes they're taking it a step further by removing all of the COD esque mechanics like load outs, killstreaks, XP leveling system and going back to arena style combat. COD clone confirmed!!!

No. At 60 frames? No, even console 60 frames? No.

These machines can't do 1080p 60 frames without someone scaling back the project somewhat. Considering they are making more of an effort to build the atmosphere and production value and scale of the MP, no way it ends up 1080p at 60 frames. I'm honestly going to be surprised if it even makes it to 900p. People lets not forget Halo 2 Anniversary's campaign, an actual remaster (not the fake kind) couldn't do 1080p, because the game was running "two graphics" engines, and trying to do 60 frames, that was still a remaster and a really old ass engine, so you can't do 1080p with Halo 2 at 60 frames, and you expect them to do it with Halo 5? Why?

The guy's at 343 have being testing the same tech used in Crackdown 3 with Halo 5, by using the cloud servers you'll be able to play Halo 5 in 4K

it may not perform at 1080P at 60 FPS, but it will do 1080P at 45 FPS or 900P at 60 FPS we'll see. I know people feel 343 studies will find a way to mess this game up but I liked Halo 4 (Scotty prepare the shields.) Halo series never feels like it dips in quality for me at least. Actually I felt Halo 4 was the best one yet from a story perspective and gameplay wise.

It probably won't be and as long as they keep it locked at 60 fps during competitive gameplay, fans of the series won't care. I know I don't care while playing. Gameplay >>> resolution, though at the end of 2015, we should be able to have both. I'm okay with upscaled 900p for X1 exclusives though. It's what I've come to expect, if it is better, it's just a bonus at this point.

I'd expect 900p, 1080p if they cut the visuals effects back. What they absolutely must have is a solid 60fps which is far more important than resolution.

Gameplay, the Campaign, and solid performance is all I care about. Raw graphics always comes second for me.

Resolution has little bearing on the quality of a game. It would be a shame considering the game was announced 1080p, 60fps, but choosing framerate over res is absolutely the right decision and I commend them for that.

The beta was very fast and the mechanics (old and new) felt great.
