I like your thinking. I am a PS3 owner so I naturally hope Killzone is awesome, but I am also really hoping games like Bioshock and SSBB are awesome too.

i hope killzone 2 uses all the PS3's power, because im sick to death of talk of potential..my own country's footy team always has the potential to win the world cup...just never seems to get past the semi finals...i want to see if the ps3 is capable of doing what they say

Don't Hold your breath...If the PS3 has untapped potential..so does the 360...one can always get more out of a system down the road when better tools and new tricks are learned...etc etc. We will have to wait and see.
It should be better. It's not like gears of war is the holy grail of shooters. I think a lot of people just got fooled by the graphics, because the value and gameplay lacka lot. I got bored with it within one month. Luckily there was still rainbow six vegas :).

i think youre right about the grey dusty thing but it will look a hell of alot better on KZ probably more along the lines of GeOW grittiness( but better ) becasue war games arent meant to be bright and colorful if you want that stuff you no where to go........nintendo

I would hope a game that has now been in 2+ years of straight development, with a $20+ budget, that is not coming out till the end of this year sometime would be "better" than a game that will be about a year old when Killzone 2 arrives. If not it would be embarrassing.
You wont be able to blow people to pieces in Killzone 2 i bet,i dont its just something about blowing someones chest off in gears,the things you can do in that game,i dont think no other game can top that.

I'm sorry but thats Bulldust...Cliffy from epic said that Gears could be better and that the sequal would see More visual improvements....In 2 years expect 360 graphics to be alot more better, compared to gears...same goes with the PS3.

The ignorance level in this thread is through the roof. If ignorance was a crime, some of you would get the death penalty.
Here's a newsflash. We can't really tell until E3, and we can't tell for complete certain until after the game's release. Butbased on what's happened in the past, Gears will probablybeat KZ2. Gears was the epitome of everything that is great about shooters. The first Killzone was just a2nd rate, 3 star, mediocre shooter. Sure, Killzone had some great things about it and some enjoy it more than Halo for some odd reason, but it was plagued by tons of problems. If Guerilla can correct its mistakes, maybe Killzone 2 can be something special; maybe even better than Gears. But until we see what Killzone will be exactly, we can't say for sure that KZ2>Gears.

QFT. That is what the cows and lems are not realizing. The good thing about having both MS and Sony with a system is they can push each other to higher standards. So far GEOW has been the holy grail of next (current) gen graphics. I would hope that Sony pushes MS by making Killzone the best then MS pushes back either withGEOW 2 or another title. This way whether you are a lem or a cow you win.
PS. Before Sheep flam me I did not put the Wii in there because pushing the graphical envelope is not Wii's strong suite.
I would like to see KZ2 being better then GeOW, mainly because an advancement in great games is always good in the games perspective. Only a true gamer would see that, whereas all the fanboys would differ.

I'd be far more concerned as to whether or not Killzone2 will be better then Killzone. Why compare it to the competition when the first one couldn't even surpass the most mediocre FPS last gen? :lol:
