Gears appeals to a large audience since its a shooter. Lair appeals to a much smaller market when you compare it to shooters. Anyways ps3's first gears of war/halo3 will be killzone. lets hope it actually delivers.
If journalists can nitpick in a preview, then it likely won't be Gears-quality. I think it's safe to say that it will be another quality title for the PS3 though.
Lair is a great graphical showcase that shows PS3 is in fact superior and as long as the controls aren't messed up with be a great game.... but it just doesn't have the mass market appeal something like Gears does because of the concept.
Gears of war is a game of the year type game. No Lair will not be like that. However if it was the PS3s Dead Rising that wouldnt be a bad thing :PSpideR_CentS

good argument. i agree 100%. Even the theme of dragons appeals to some, but not to others. It'll be interesting to see how this game sells, with no MP. It seems like a game that could really benefit from MP.
