Will Last of Us 2 sell 10 million copies?

I think so. The original one was very successful on PS3 and also sold well on PS4. It's had a lot of visibility and most gamers know about it. It's also going to be on the very successful PS4, which is still selling like hotcakes, despite not giving away the farm like X1 has. What do you think, SW? Is 10 million a shoe in?

This isn't a halflife 2 level top tier game.

the original sold around 8m and the remastered has sold around 2m last i checked so yes its very possible.

While he's comment is pretty fucking dumb, you realize Divinity OS outscored all the playstation exclusives just last year, right? Not to meantion PC had more good rated exclusives than all consoles combined.

No it's not, especially if you played the game or at least saw a summary of it. I can expect a few people upset at there being a sequel if they actually make one and sales to plummet in relation to the first game.

I mean they pretty much would have to make 2 almost completely unrelated and similar to a reboot. Or at least in terms of the plot not the game and theme.

Yes it can easily sell 10 million. Original sold over 8 million if I'm not mistaken.

If there's another TLOU game, maybe. I mean outside of parallel timelines or a prequel i don't see where they could go with the story.

The original did extremely well even though it was a new IP coming out at the end of a console life cycle, so, no doubt. And take a look at Uncharted 4 it has a gigantic hype surrounding it.

Unlike before Naughty Dog now has a huge audience that goes beyond just PS fans, so that Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2 will sell a lot that is without a doubt. 10 millions? Possibly.

I expect it doesn't. I mean, the first one may be one of the most overrated games ever and it having a lot of success was the demonstration that traditional gaming is dying. No more "interactive experiences" please, no more "movie-like 'games'" with generic (although serviceable) gameplay and 0 level design... that needs to stop ASAP!
