Will Mario Maker be hit?

Not saw one post or topic which has talked about Mario Maker on whether or not it will be a good or bad game, will or wont sell by the bucket loads.

How do you think Mario Maker when it is released will fair? Will it be as fleshed out as say Little Big Planet or will it be poor mans level editor.

Yes, I think so if the creation tool allows for proper creation. Nintendo has been keen on decent support after release. Imagine the addition of a midi tool and text editor. I think Nintendos concern is diminishing the quality of Mario with games like this. I can also see MANY MANY people being disappointed as level creation is more difficult than most think.

The biggest question mark is the family image nintendo protects. Any type of user content can intrude upon this.

I can't see it selling loads, especially on the Wii U. I love Mario, own a Wii U and I doubt I'll bother buying it really, get my fix from the main games. Sure some people will find it cool to create their own levels though.

I plan on buying it. It is just infinite possibilities when it comes to Mario games. I love it, but I am pretty surprised. If Nintendo made this, then there will most likely never be a New Super Mario bros game happening again.

This game terrifies me. The crazy difficult shit people are going to come up with is going to haunt me day and night.

I wasn't interested until I saw it in action. Going to get it, not sure how much I'll play it, but I imagine I'll play it as much as a good Mario platformer. (half the time playing through levels, half the time creating levels)

Everyone need to see the gameplay at Nintendo Championship. Like seriously, people reading this, go watch it now. Made me a believer.

I don't think I have ever been sold on any game as I was as disinterested in as thoroughly as I was sold on Mario Maker.

possibly. People who love to create levels will buy it for sure. Me myself dont like the creating process, so I dont know if I'll get it.

I doubt it will be a hit, but I'm sure it'll attract plenty of critical acclaim.

I never got this complaint about games that allowed you to create levels. I created ONE LBP level and spent 99% of my time playing ones made by other people.

Luckily plenty of others are far more talented than I am at making levels. I won't be making levels for mario maker but I'll sure as hell be playing the ones put out by gamers and I hear Nintendo's people are making some as well.

I expected more bad feed than good on Mario Maker.

I love 2D marios but yet to finish Mario Bro U and Luigi U. So its a 50 / 50.

Those levels looked deliciously insane. Will get for sure.

The game is epic, after seeing what can be done with it in the Nintendo World Championships i have no doubt this game will be a hit. I cant wait to see what people share. This will be on a lot of Nintendo fans holiday buying list.

Not as big of a hit as Nintendo would hope, But I am certain that it will get a rather rabit cult following (as in me :D) can't wait or it to come out ^^

I'd play other peoples, but I wouldnt want to create them. That's why I really dont like Minecraft either.

Not too interested, played redone versions of Mario on PC many years ago. They were mostly crap or "hard for the sake of being hard". I don't really like relying on how good randomers are at making levels.

Of course, if people start making lots of awesome and original content, I'd pick it up.

I really don't want to buy a WiiU right now, and I'm getting one for Super Mario Maker. The game is a dream come true to me.

I cant wait to buy this and make realllllly tough levels for my kids to try and beat LOL

It'll be a hit. It's pretty ingenious when you think about it, and I feel it's a perfect fit for the WiiU gamepad.

Well, I surely won't buy Mario Tennis or Mario & Dead the Hedgehog at the Special Olympics.

It looks great for sure. But if LBP has taught me anything, then it's that I personally lack the creativity to make levels.

Mario maker looks a bit more simple and straightforward compared to LBP tho. Something like this will not sway me over to buy a Wii, but I'd defenitely consider buying it if I already had one.

Looks pretty awesome, but you never know. Should be a hit, definitely. Personally, I might get game. If people make and share fun levels, this will be like a never ending Mario game. Which sounds awesome.

For me it will depend largely on the presentation of the created levels. Can you grade them? Describe them? Give them a difficulty level? It's a good concept and should be fun for people.

I don't plan on buying it because I am not creative enough but this game should sell pretty well.

Looks reeeeally good! I'm wondering how much it will cost though. Doesn't seem like a $60 full retail game to me nor does it look like a system seller, which I felt like Nintendo was trying to make it out to be given how much attention they've been giving it lately and how much of their E3 event it took up.
