I hope MGR has the Kojima polish :[ I don't care if it's multiplat or not, I just want another MG experience, I really didn't like hearing Kojima say he's heavily invested in the PSP MG and not in MGR. Console MG > Handheld MG!

Well, according to lemmings, it will surpassed MGS4 in so many ways - better graphics, animation, lighting, physics, gameplay, multiplayer, music, characters, story, staff members, engine, better combos, better hair color, better eye color, better lips, better weapons, better pistol, better ak's, better voice. It will just surpassed mgs4 in so many ways. It'll be like heaven and earth. MGS4 is earth and MGRising is heaven.

But to us true gamers, it will be equal to MGS4, if not better.

Well there putting it on the superior console. But it's a multiplat, which means the PS3 is still going to hold it back. So no, if it was exclusive to the X360? Devs would need to create a new ranking score, one that goes above 10. Or just re-review MGS4 cause it didn't deserve the praise it got anyway and that's coming from someone who completed it.

Well I hope it will be as good as MGS4 or even better but the rumors iam hearing about this game making me think we shouldnt expect much from this game but who knows it might be true and it turns out to be a great game and the young people at Koji,a team might be more innovative than the old ones.

People got different tastes for me MGS1 > MGS4 > MGS2 > MGS3
I didnt like MGS3 gameplay at all it was boring and the story wasnt that good.

In a sense, every MGS has surpasses its predecessor... so I'm hoping Rising achieves to dothe same.

i'm going to feel like such a sucker when i get it and it's even more crying and sobbing and boo hooing. i just don't know when the series got so melodramatic.

so to be honest i don't think it will be hard to be better than 4, it will however have a hard time beating the hype that has built up around 4.

and what made 3 so good is it was a story about a tough soldier, not a whiny old man.

4 ends with him talking to his dad/brother, 3 ends with him tapping the hot blonde that teased you the entire game.

the gameplay was too awkward in 4, if you stopped playing the game for over a day you would have to relearn all the goofy things again... and when your going for the perfect stealth playthrough accidently de-cloaking with the mk android was a pain in the but.

what is a msx? i played the first one on the nes when it came out, and all the rest of them, it wasn't until the mgs2 that the sensitive man entered, and it 4 t got out of hand. there were a lot of parodies about the game with snake and otacon as lovers. for a reason. if you don't know the back story the scene with merril looks like hal is cheating on snake.fadersdream

The original MG came out for this and it's NOT like the NES version... Kojima had nothing to do witheither of the NES versions.

You can find the original MG and MG2 on the Subsistance version of MGS3.

The fact that Kojima himself said he will not be heavily involved leads me to believe it will not be better than MGSIV. Does not mean it wont be a good game though.

Hopefully Metal Gear Rising turns out well.

Exclusives are always hyped higher than their cross platform equivalents, Cows in particular will likely be bashing the game.

i've only noticed cows downplay it.

i just want a fun game and i liked the ninja gaidens so it would be cool with me. obviously not from a story standpoint. i'd like it to keep the same style as the other metal gear games in that respect.

In terms of overall better game than mgs4, doubtful.

Why? Kojima not putting all his effort into one game but into many at the same time.

he will work on it but he wont be deeply involved in it like MGS4 and MGS peace walker.
