no. pc will come out on top. its lead platform is the ps3 so this will ensure the ps3 version will either turn out slightly better looking or will be identcial to xboix
Just looking at the game, it plays more like a platformer than a shooter. That being said, there is also the lack of rumble and tactile feedback from the actions you do, such as bashing a door, slaping the wall to halt yourself when you hit a wall on the PC classic mouse and keyboard controls. Will the controls of the Xbox360 and PS3 be in favour towards Mirrors Edge because of it's more tactile controls?insanejedi
PC controls owersadow every console FPS multiplat, so the real battle is between the consoles...
For me personally Controller is FAR better for ANY GAME.Even Shooters. It give you the true feel of game.Mouse is just too easy.lesner87
stop playing on easy difficulty if its "too easy"
it depends on how there implemented.
i really liked the PC controls for sins creed on PC for example. thats a game that should just not work without a controller....but it actually works very nicely. the camera is very responsive so turning is lightening quick + u can plan ure route faster sice u can look around faster. i tried it with a 360 controller also and it was nice..but i found myself going back to the mouse and keyboard pretty quickly.
from what ive seen of mirrors edge..it looks quite a bit like sins creed in terms of gameplay and controls. obhiously ruble will be lost but if i can look around faster and be more agile with the keyboard and mouse then rumble is a small price to pay for it.
on a side not...why dont they put rumble in a mouse? i know theres sensativity issues there but surely those could be worked around. hell the wiimote has rumble and it doesent interfere with its camera or its motion sensing at all. i know there was a force feedback mouse years ago but that was very clumsy. a shame manufacturers never gave it another punt though. rumble in the keyboard too maybe? hmm.

RTS's, Tactical FPS's, MMORPG's, CRPG's, etc laugh at your insanity
Console and the controller will be better for sure. Always is;)jasonheyman
pc already have gamepads u know :| + with better graphx + better resolution + better and stable FPS
Console and the controller will be better for sure. Always is;)jasonheyman
Which is why you guys need auto aim right? Since you can precisely move the joystick around and instantly do 180 degree turns right?
Oh wait. You guys can't.
I personally will get this game on PC for better graphics, better controls, and mods.
I am willing to bet it sells better on the consoles though... A few extra shadows and textures aren't that big of a deal to most gamers...jasonheyman
yeah i heard u consolites get the "SALES" DLC

So making a 180 degree turn makes the whole game?? ok?

hmm playing tennis with one hand is alot harder than playing with 2 hands. imagine playing basketball with only one leg..........you get my point, yes mouse is easier, controller is just artificially harder. why choose a control method that hasn't got the precision, nor the speed, WHY???? oh the insanity!!!!
So making a 180 degree turn makes the whole game?? ok?
jasonheyman
actually yes it does. The times in crysis when i am smack bang in the middle of a fire fight and i need to take out the enemy in the front and back FAST. can't do that with a controller.
I am willing to bet it sells better on the consoles though... A few extra shadows and textures aren't that big of a deal to most gamers...jasonheyman
THE SALES ARGUMENT IS NOT OWNAGE. Omg why do you people tout this around like it's some kind of pro for consoles? Geez, do you own stock at EA???????????

no but kb/m makes the control more precise and accurate.
yeah but still this game will be epic becoz the consoles will get the exclusive "sales" DLC. Plus the game will come with an accountants book where the consolites can make debit and credit transactions for EA and fight which system has the most sales instead of actually playing the game

Aside from the fact that you ignored the rest of my post, it does not make the game however it makes the game much more enjoyable. The times where quickly spinning around in multiplayer has saved my life numerous times. If I was on a controller, my deaths would be significantly higher and I don't like dying.

im telling u guys throw your pc's out of the window and buy consoles so u can avail the exclusive 'sales' DLC and that free accountants book.
Does it not mean if it sells more on consoles that the console/controller is more popular? Yes it does!
Graphic wise will it be better on PC if the individual has a good enough PC to put out high res then yes, but that is not the most important thing in a game. Graphics are improving on the consoles anyways, I don't need to play Mirror's Edge on a 2,000 dollar PC on high res to enjoy Mirrors Edge. Keyboard and mouse are not the way to go for most when it comes to gaming.

I'm sorry but nothing says easy like the auto aim used by many console games with their controlelrs.

except see now you really dont have a single reason that the console version is better....
and not only that, but their have been several polls here at system wars, and all of them say that the KB/M is better.
This isin't a FPS, it's more of a platformer. To draw comparasons, it's like is Prince of Persia or Splinter Cell Chaos Theory better on consoles because of the nature of analog controls and rumble? I mean, in not all cases is PC always better, Greg Kasavin said the Xbox version of Chaos Theory edged out the PC version slightly because of the control scheme and split screen co-op. insanejedi
That's still an opinion. I prefer KB/M for all games except racers and fighters and racers I use my Momo wheel for my PC.

LOL the console version is better and controller is better. And so what about the polls. Half the people on gamespot are PC owners that is obvious. We will take a look at the numbers on the bigger picture when it's been out for awhile. And I promise it will be different then the polls here!!!

The PC version has Controller support...so in what way is the console version somehow magiclly better again?
and enjoy your auto-aim.

McDonalds is very popular and has served billions. Is it popular? Of course. Does it mean it's better than fancy resturaunts and diners? Hell no.
I agree graphics are not the most important thing but trust me when I say they are getting more and more important. People want their games to look pretty and nice.
And no. You're wrong. My 700 dollar PC can probably run Mirror's edge better and look better than my 360 or PS3. Shows how much you know about PCs.
Keyboard and mouse trounces contollers in almost everything (customization, preciseness, and of course movement. However I do understand if people prefer controllers over mouse and keyboard)
For reflex type gameplay, consoles tend to be better alternatives. This is more of a platforming game than it is a shooter. In fact, you should be able to beat the game without firing a weapon.

There is still no clear winner. Everyone will have their opinion on which they prefer but there is no concrete proof of which is betetr, it is all opinion.

What does that mean exactly, before I take it out of context.

But the overall idea of this game is feeling immersed into the game. Things like swinging onto pipes, bashing doors open, or punching a button with a realistic view, and the over all feel of just grabing and climbing up stuff, I would have to imagine the implementation of force feedback so you feel something physical while playing must be huge.

Yeah you are right, consoles are more popular because in comparsion to the PC, all consoles are casual gaming toys. there i said it. The 360 is like the wii, cause it appeals to the casual gamer. sorry no hardcore FPS gamer can ever say that the controller is better than the mouse and keyboard. Because its not. You don't see professional gamers playing an FPS on a controller do you?
And i didn't include the PS3, cause looking at the videos, that LBP has some serious depth to its creation tools, and while i am no fan of metal gear solid, it too hasn't been dumbed down.

Pretty hard to be immerssed into a game with my 10 year old 20" TV with Mono sound compared to my 24" monitor and 7.1 sound on my PC.
