will mod nation racers be better then mario kart wii?

i play the piss out of mario kart wii but everything seams kind of random (have to let the soccer moms win a few). im wondering how mod nation racers will play? i think this could really whip up on mario kart.

I don't think it will be better then Mario Kart but it will be great and I can't wait to play it.

i'm not going to lie..and i'm a HUGE Sony fan..but mod nation looks like Mario karts without the Mario part..but then again that new Super Mario game looks like Little Big Planet but just with Mario....-_-,

Its people's preference to be honest. I think Mod Nation racers is going to be a great game for people who like creativity and racing.

I think Mod Nation Racers have potential but Mario Kart games have always been that anyone can pick up and play and have fun type of game. Hopefully MNR already have great tracks in the game already for those that doesn't really want to create their own. Also I hardly created any levels for LBP but when I did I always made some sort of car. So I think I might like MNR level editor even more. Can't wait to check it out.

That is what I was thinking, I also love how customizable everything is. Shame this isn't on the Xbox 360. The game looks amazing though.

Should I say it? Ok I'm going to say it. Mario Kart Wii was aweful! The game was great on the DS, had nice online, and was continually fun. On the wii, it was terrible. Whether mod nation racers will be better mostly depends on the items and if you can make corners.

If there are more than just mountains and lakes in terms of the environment along with more...'Dynamic' obstacles e.g flamethrowers and cannons, then I'd say it stands a chance. We're also going to need to see more of the item pickups and character/car customization and last but not least, a music creator.

The track editor is a very cool feature but I doubt it'll allow anyone to make something crazy like this. :P

if the creation set is as deep as lbp and core gameplay is satisfying enough, it could be as good but doubt it will sell as well. i hope it has some good creative tracks and modes to start as well. it has potential

After destroying Mario Kart DS, the Wii version was a massive letdown. Felt like I was just playing the same game on a tv. As if I was able to video-out my DS and add a Wii-mote controller.

MNR looks interesting. Probably won't have the mass market appeal, but I can see myself having more fun with it than Mario Kart Wii. But the real question is will it be better than Mario Kart DS, at least for me.

That trailer looks epic and fresh. MK64 is beyond epic, though.

This thing better be running at 60 fps and offer good gameplay. As long as the gameplay is bad, it will be amazing.

If it has great gameplay, it's going to be a must buy.

Anyways, good gameplay+ridiculous amount of customization = WIN!

You know people are gonna make some crazy tracks and the overall top ten after the game has been out a few years will be full of win. There will obviously be Mario Kart tracks in there that people have made.

I think the developers should aim for a level of creatability where gamers can clone all Mario Kart levels down to a T :D.

looks like MK Wii + LBP creation tools. looks like a lot of fun, and hopefully it has variety because i got bored with MK in about an hour

do you guys think part of what makes most of the mario kart games so good is the characters and weopons though? there is something about shooting turtle shells and dropping bananas. i know im in the minority but i love mario kart wii. of course its the only game worth a piss on wii's online service (although i here brawl is getting better). im really hoping mod racers hits the level of creation that LBP does.

after playing lots of kart racing games i can saftly say NO

not a chance in hell if a cheap MK rip off with random LBP custumazation

They should have called it LBP Kart Racing.

Sony needs to start using known characters to start selling more.

Sackboy should be made like Mario and the only way to do that is to start putting him in more games.

The characters for Mod Nations look ugly-- imagine having Sackboys to race around, fully customizable and whatnot.

Seriously, they need to bring LittleBigPlanet/Sackboy's name into this title in order for it to appeal to more audiences.

It is going to be great due to its level creation tool which is awesome but gameplay wise it will feel like all Kart games that were released after Mario Kart: a not so refreshing and unoriginal game. Therefore it has its pros and cons.

I wonder if there will be a weapons editor.

I would say it does because creating your own tracks sounds like fun I have wanted to do that in Mario Kart for ages.
