I have been gaming for around 30 years and i have never seen this kind of hell raised over anything in the game industry. Ive been watching e3 press events for around 10 years or so and when sony announced no used game restrictions or mandatory internet connections i had never seen that kind of cheering from the crowd. We are only around 3 weeks in since the reveal and already unprecidented backlash. Think they will change their mind? Wheres the online petition already?

Doubt it. Especially after that f*ck weasel Don Mattrick told people to go buy an Xbox 360 if they don't want to play with restrictions.

Once people see the benefits like playing without the disc, the drm wont be an issue.

It would suck if Ms changed their position to how Ps4 is. You would have to get up off the couch after you say "Xbox play Halo 5" to put in the disc. That would suck.

Switching to different games without the need to put the disc in is so much better than what Sony is doing with their retail games.

It is too late. They have built it into their system and would have to start over.

I'm just hoping they can scrap it with a firmware update or something. I don't want to invest heaps of cash into something I'm technically only renting.

Yup, I'm sure the people who live in a country that doesn't support the xbox 1 will easily look past is.

paying for full price to rent a game that won't work unless i pay more for some club subscriptions fees, and requires me to pay some more to unlock 50% of its content

while bombarding me with junk food ads, and making a profit out of me by selling personal infos without my consent is not my idea of gaming

Changing their stance would only tell us that they are more likely to change their stance in the future. The damage has been done.

It is too late. Things have been designed, contracts signed, and deals agreed upon. It would make them look even more weak than they already do after backpedaling a little on the drm and there is no way they are about to give that kind of power to us and let the consumers know they can actually dictate MS business decisions. Too dangerous.

Nope, they put all in with the DRM cloud to "save the industry" and not put extra money to their bottom line at the expense of gamers.

Even if they did the damage has already been done, so I highly doubt it.
