even if MS does drop the price they wont drop the price for the elite. thats what matters most. MS will need more then a price drop to combat sonys games at e3.

MS will have huge games.
Ninja Gaiden 2 and Geow 2 would seal the deal.

Gears of War 2 will not be appearing at this years E3. The director of epic studios said so himself. It was one of the news from last week.
they'll win it with halo 3 and banjo 3akif22
banjo 3 wont be big, belive me, xbox gamers arent into most Rare games, the sales of all thier games were low besides PDZ and thats because it was a FPS.
? $250 seems to be the magic number.HeHateMe_basic
If the last 6 E3s are any indication...all MS has to do is set up a cardboard cutout of master chief and the lemmings will insist MS won E3.

M$ will have games at the E3 as well you know. If Sony doesn't announce a price drop before the holidays, they are going to be in a world of trouble. M$ will do a price drop. It's possible they will drop the price on all 3 SKU's. They will probably drop the Core & Premium by $50 and the Elite down to $450. Sony needs to drop the PS3 down to $450 for them to have a good holiday. I don't think a $100 price drop will be enough.
Core should be $200, that would put a slow down on the wii. anyone looking for a wii that has $250 already could get 360 Core + GTA4 or Halo 3.HeHateMe_basic
No. The Core should be discontinued. Every 360 should have a HDD in it. Don't know what M$ was thinking when they decided to create the Core sku. Mostly everyone bought the premium and only a few people got the Core because they couldn't find a premium version.
naw most people dont care about HDD's. look at the wii. im telling you it's all about the price.
MS gets the price to $250 or below sales will skyrocket.it's too late to discontinue the core. from a pure game development perspective, all 360 games must be designed without the HDD. games could have been even better if there had been a standard HDD. that's what I cared about.Mordred19
It's never to late. Discontinue the Core now and developers can start using the HDD for every game in the future. People who have a Core and no HDD will just have to buy one for games that require the HDD. The N64 had several games that required the RAM Card to play them. This would be no difference. It's not like people with a Core don't have a option to upgrade with a HDD. With nothing but premiums on the market, developer would definitely make all their games using the HDD.
How do you "Win" an E3?Duckman5
It's all about what games are shown and which company has the most people interested in their products. Last year Nintendo won. Gamers from all walks of life ran through Sony's booths (as Sony reps looked on) and scrambled over to Nintendo's Wii, just to play their games. I don't see any of this happen this year since the E3 will have mostly business reps and a few journalist from major gaming mags.
