Will MW / MW2 go down as one of the greatest games of all time?

nope because if you look at sales, alot of singers nowadays (lady gaga?) would then be looked at as the best singer of our generation. Which obviously isn't true even if you enjoy her music. Gaming will look back and say "wow they went from cod 4, and went downhill since." Call of duty is a mess, always will be.

the point I'm making is numbers don't equate to quality.

Okay then TC.SMG/SMG2 will be hailed one of the greatest games in this generation along with Uncharted 2.Why did you create this thread in the first place TC? I could see COD4 getting acclaim in the future, but I don't know about the sequels.

personally cod4 was the game changer for me mw2 added to it, more then it needed. But i will always have a special place for cod4:oops:

I can enjoy exhilarating 60 FPS on almost any game on my PC. I don't see the heart pumping action in a rehashed game with an average story. Communist Russians and nuclear weapons are nothing new. Also CoD takes no skill whatsoever. LOL they say Blops is harder then Mw2 because killstreaks don't lead to other killstreaks? Give me a break.... After 4 hours I got extremely bored. No, I did not buy the game. STEAM have these things called "Free weekend" .

MW2 - No. The overall opinion of the games by mature people is rightfully negative.
