Will next-gen have real-time Mode 7?

I remember when people were talking about Mode 7 on the PS3 before it came out and then it never ended up having it so when will we finally see it?

It's a graphics technique that is supposed to use do amazing things. I've never seen it myself because it's not on any current gen consoles. :(

Mode 7? Not even that funny.

This thread is valid people it was one of the arguments by cows in the past before the ps3 launched and soon after.

The mode 7 graphics you see in nes and snes games are pre rendered cows claimed the cell was so powerful it could do real time mode 7.
*yes i know thats an easy thing to do* but some cows claimed it was some amazingly hard thing to do.

pilotwings was the first game i played that had it. spectacular at the time 8)
