Will Ninja Gaiden Sigma help PS3 in Japan ?

Well since Sigma is coming out this month in Japan, do you think it will help boost sales for the PS3.

I say this because I'm assuming Japan loves Ninja's so a ninja game would surely sell well.

In my opinion NGS may well help PS3 to sell upto the magic 1million mark.

thats not true, Xbox was dead in Japan when NG arrived but PS3 isn't exactly dead, afterall its doing better then the 360.

Dont no or it will do good in japan but I think overall it will sell more copies then it did on the xbox.

If NGS sells well then NG2 is a shoe-in to come on PS3

These are the same people who buy a DS just to play Brain Age, an Xbox to play Blue Dragon, and a PSP to play Monster Hunter....

It should do well the japanese would not have played the original. Also due to the fact PS3 outsold Xbox360 5 to 1 last month in Japan , then if it does well then NG2 may also find its way to PS3.dave_ps3

It problably will sell quite  lot of units (games, and maybe, spike the console sale numbers for a while). I still think that if Sigma manages to sell at least as good as its original sold in the Xbox (and I am only speaking about Japan here, not US and Europe), NG 2 will end up being multi-plat. Who knows eh?

Anyway, as Japanese PS3 users dont have that many games released there (specially these two past months) its quite likely that it will end ip selling well enough. FolkSoul is even more probable than that. PS3 lacks RPGs at this time, and as PS2 was the console to have if you loved JRPGs, its a very good reason to to buy one, to those that want one, but were waiting for a reason.

While PS3 isnt cheap, price dont matter that much to japanese youth when they want to spend.
