Will Nintendo improve like Sony did?

Sony got smacked around the first couple years of the ps3's life. But that all resulted in the company turning the system around and ultimately being enormously successful with the ps4. Do you think Nintendo will head that way with the Nintendo NX? I don't have much confidence now, but I do hope Nintendo recaptures at least some of its old glory.

I don't think nintendo will go in the direction you think they will go if you look at all their recent comments, but they will try to find there own way as usually to make their next console a success.

I preferred Sony last gen. If this gen is improvement, then I hope they don't.

^ This. I enjoyed my Ps3. I don't feel even slightly compelled to buy a PS4. On the other hand I enjoy my Wii U much more than my Wii.

Any speculation involving the NX is just that, pure and simple speculation because nobody knows what NX is or will be.

Will Nintendo improve ? well, it´s Nintendo and Nintendo does the things the Nintendo way, they excell in driving away 3rd party developers for starters.

Hopefully they learn from their mistakes with the Wii U... but who knows with Nintendo.

I enjoyed PS3, PS4 is kinda sad right now. They got what? 1 epic game compared to Wii U's 7 epic games.

Nintendo will be Nintendo, they will do want they want, not what the consumer wants.

With this leadership, I'm 99% sure nothing much will change.

If it means nintendo will be making movie,focusing tv,updates,bad dlc,mom graphic over gameplay and copying other companies ideas and making them worst then no I hope nintendo just do nintendo because without them gaming would be about hardware and specs lol.

Sony never had a bad console, slow start maybe but that doesnt matter, look back at the whole generations. Nintendo on the other hand...lacking 3part support every gen..

Do you mean in sales? Cause Nintendo is so much better at games than Sony it's not even funny. But yes, I believe Nintendo will improve upon Wii-U with their next shit. I hope they'll try to make other companies than the ones they own to make games for their console. Once in a blue moon, there comes a good multi-plat game, and it's annoying if you have to own an Xbox or PS to play it.

All Nintendo need to do is make a powerful system that's cheaper than PS4 and get third party support like Fifa, Madden, COD and Battlefield because they have the best line up of exclusive games around but it doesn't seem to matter

I really hope Nintendo finds console success. I've been gaming for over two decades in every genre on a myriad of systems. I've come to develop a refined opinion on what constitutes great game design and now more than ever, Nintendo hits that target with a bull's eye. They just get it in my books.

If gaming ever lost Nintendo I think this industry would lose its soul. The pass time would be infinitely less appealing to me.

There's so much Sony could learn from Nintendo.
