itagaki is gone? fill me in...CPM_basichttp://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3168056
I think the real question is "Will the games feel the same without his vison?" Some think they'll be better as perhaps they'll finally include a good camera in future Ninja Gaiden games. I have to wait and see how this goes down.flatline711Itigaki was only the director, which seems like a big deal, but the team that made Ninja Gaiden didn't leave with him, so I don't think much will change. However, what will happen I believe is he'll win the lawsuit, and I don't think we'll see another ninja gaiden made by tecmo after that.
who cares ninja gaiden 2 was awfulbigLLL
Are you serious that game was awesome...One of my most played games this gen

It's just for me, I can't picture a modern day Ninja Gaidrn without Itagaki. Just like I can't picture a Metal Gear game without Kojima :(

Which main game didn't have Kojima in it?
Get ready for it, PS a metal gear game without Kojima has already happened. falconclanI'm talking about MG games involved in the actual cannon. Snake's Revenge was garbage compared to MG2: Solid Snake. As for Kojima no longer directing another Metal Gear game, he's been saying that since MGS2 so I've quit believing him :P Of course, if he ends up sticking with his statement this time, then well...
think he was referring to Portable Ops, think Kojima was in full swing on MGS4 when that was in development, and was handled by a subordinate of his. not 100% sure.TIE_Elite_PilotAhh that's true Kojima was producer, how the heck did I forget that. Either way as I much as I loved MPO, I found it to be much more run and gun compared to the rest of the series. That was most likely due to limits of the PSP as opposed to who directed it though.
I can't believe people actually compare Itagaki to Kojima :| the NG 3D games have massive room for improvement.SapSacPrimeThey're both seen as the primary force behind their respective series. That's the only comparison I was drawing.
Don't know if this ever came to pass but not too long after Itagaki left, there was a rumor of 36+ people following him. Link
If that was the case, well, Tecmo may retain the Team Ninja name, but without the head developer nor 30+ developers, Team Ninja may as well be dead.
yeah, it makes business sense to port to the PS3 as well now that he's gone
but it'll be hard to replace him, and the other devs that left
so i'm worried if this'll affect the next team ninja games
plus, what'll happen with itagaki's secret projects like code cronus .. they might be owned my tecmo, plus they tie into the doa universe to make the situation a bit messier
on the bright side, at least we might not get any doa volleyball games anymore!
