Will PS4 reach 35 million by the end of the year?

I've been talking a lot with my inside sources, and the bundles Sony got coming with other sweet promotions, which I won't talk about now.. Yeah, most definitely.

But who will win NPD!

It wouldn't surprise me if it did. The system sells like hotcakes and something tells me SFV may help with that if the game turns out as half a decent as the promotional videos look.

All of your predictions are 99.99999991% wrong so I am going to say no. PS4 will reach that number around April next year tho.

because it took a year and a half to reach 22 million, no way till it get another 13 in the span of a few months.

Sony sold 5.6 million between September at January 1st.

Sony will be at 25 million by august at some time and some change.

September has more Destiny MGSV and a bundle in europe for the later. October starts the marketing deal spree that goes on through December, along with 2 events during that time which may or may not include a price drop increments unkown if they do, along with the Uncharted collection on top of that.

Do you think they won't do more than 4.1 million from Nov and December.

I'll say this if they are at 25 million now they will go over 30 million by the end of the year but I don't think they will hit 35 million .

They have more than they have last year, starting this month. They did 5.6 million Possibly 6 if you include all of august, till the end of the year.

They'; be at 25 million by august, so 25+6 would be 31, they would only need to sell 3 million and some change next to that 3, in order to be able to make it to 35.

They have a ton of marketing deals WW, Uncharted Collection, and a potential price drop.

IF MS has a chance to get over 20, then Sony would have to easily beat them otherwise, you're saying the XB will close the gap WW (not just NA) this next 5 month strip.

Last year during the holidays MS, did over 3 million. Over 4 million including the same months. PS4 sold over 2 million more WW during that stretch. Yeah the big push in NA helped that.

But now PS4's has an even bigger presence, with tons of game marketing, Xbox One will probably easily do 5 + million this 5 month strip if not more, PS4 has to be ahead, why do you think it won't be 35 million unless Sony actually gets a penalty for not having games in NA so much that NA almost alone, combied with RTW passes the PS4?

I don't think they'll sell that many PS4's by the end of this year. You talking about them selling close to 10 million for the rest of the year when we are in the middle of the summer drought? Don't think so at all.

Well it's a theory that does make sense.

Last year the Xbox One had no momentum at all in terms of big sales until November, in november, and December WW over 3 million alone. and including August to October possibly another million. I can see almost double that number this year, especially since the gears are shifting starting at the end of this month.

Last year from September to December they sold around 5.6 million minimum. Possibly they reached 6. This year they have marketing for the big games, Uncharted collection, two events, and a possible price drop of some number.

We are looking at 25 million by august with still august left. You have a possible stronger september than last year, and that will spill into october with other games. I'm am certain that they will sell more between sept and october, than the 1.5 or so million last year. Maybe even double that, and that's all they will need. Because they won't even need anything more than a high 6 million to reach 35+.

If they drop the price to $299 absolutely. If they drop the price to $349 then maybe. $399 it won't happen.

It's outselling the xbox one worldwide, that's all that really matters.

Well I doubt it because there is no exclusive that is comming out this holyday that can move a lot of consol and not at the price it is right now ...

You forgot that the Xbox will have Halo 5 and Gears Of War on top of backward compatible ... so it is a very agressive move right there.

Also y'know ... I live in Canada and since the beginning of the year our money took a huge drop and so now the PS4 is more expensive that it was originally ... something similar can happen in other counrtries too.

I think it will be close to 30 million but it won't surpass it.

It will have a huge bump once Final Fantasy VII remake will come out, that is for sure. It may also help if they do a bundle with Final Fantasy XV when it comes out. but still, it won't top the 30 million

It's slowed down a fair bit in recent months. I imagine it will be closer to 30 million than 35 million.

What does this have to do with the last quesrter of the year which is never effected by slowdown earlier in the year?

Jaguar: estimate 100,000

CD32: 200,000

3DO: 1.5 million

Saturn: ~2.5 million

N64 ~3.5+ million

PSX: ~6+ million

For second year on market numbers. (these are WW numbers sans Jaguar which only it's full LTD is the WW number, this is U.S. only.)(Estimates)

PS4 holiday season is pretty weak, so I expect it to reach 30mil, still great numbers though.
