Obviously SimBin developing it points to yes but I'm not convinced, something doesn't look quite right in the videos.

Gran Turismo fans couldn't care less I imagine, it's just not pretty enough.

Depends. Previous RACE titles were amazing realism-wise, but we have to remember Simbin was using licensed gMotor engine from ISI and that engine covered both graphics and physics. Simbin just tweaked it and included real-world data they've licensed. RACE PRO is using a new engine, the question is: is it just a new graphics engine or did they also write their own physics engine this time. If it;'s still ISI code then yes it will be the most realistic console racing sim, if it's their own physics code, then it has plenty of potential to do that, but we'll just have to wait and see how they will handle it

uh..no. Gran turismo trashes that from physics, graphics, feel of the cars, selection of cars, the accuaracy of car models..realism..everything. Cept for damage modeling.

When GT5 comes out, there is no real competition...

RacePro is one of my most anticipated titles of the year....SimBINS pedigree speaks for itself and "should" blend the lines closer to computer SIMS..

I have seen the videos and I am not worried at all...I will take solid immersive gameplay over a hack and slash.... new kids on the block....it's pretty so it must be good...the only thing it's really good for is a coaster... called GT5P

So you assume that RACE Pro will be vastly inferior compared to it's PC predecessors? Because so far every game based on gMotor has completely trashed GT when it comes to physics, realism, multiplayer, stats-tracking and accuracy of track recreation.

Yes, just keep thinking that.

Its obvious that 360 fanboys just wanna boast about a racer they got that(they wish) will beat GT in those areas.

It WONT happen.

1st forza now this? lol...

THE real GT5 isnt even out yet.

Last time i checked, GT4 trashed everything in sight for anything to do with 'realism' 10 fold in its time, not even the later GTR series were that great.

RACE was better. But seeing that GT5's comming soon... There is no competition. Ther amount of detail thats going into that game trumps everything else.

I'm not even sure how to reply to this. You're entitled to your opinion obviously but to say GT4 trashes everything else in terms of realism isn't an opinion I can say I've heard before:|

Off topic but Forza is a higher rated series than each GT equivalent. RACE Pro supposedly ups the ante in terms of physics again. We will wait and see though.

Hell yes. Considering GTR2 dominates anything console titles have to offer as far as realism goes, RacePro is going to be well ahead.

Mind you GTR2 was Racing Game of the Year (in 06 methinks), and RacePro is from that dev; Sim Bin.....

Though keep this in mind.

Sim Bin's games have never been mainstream ones; and consoles being a purley mainstream platform will probably result in less of a positive reception, as there has been on the PC platform, which has a large active community of the racing sim niche.

Very good link. Its true, but its not a total loss. IGN Australia gave Black Shark an AAA score (methinks) praising it for its ultra realistic qualities, and GTR2 got a 9.0.

Should be a winner but not for those looking for bumper car racing. The 360 racing sim fans simply can't lose this year since if R.P. doesn't do it just right, Forza 3 is waiting in the wings. :D

If you truly believe that, then you haven't played many racing simulators.

Sorry buddy, just because Gran Turismo is the most popular, doesn't mean it's the best.

If being super realistic means boring then I don't want it. GT manages to find the right balance between fun and realism. If racepro can do it too, then great. But I still like sims to be fun and realistic, and i know it's possible.

Not really. I'm a PCgamer and Race PRO isn't coming to PC, so I have no reason to be biased at all. GT series always has been a mix of arcade and sim, while it is amazing series, from realism standpoint it doesn't even belong in top5. It's still struggling to match the level of 1998 PC racing sims. GT never was anywhere near the top of the pack

GT5 might end up being a better game overall, but unless Simbin screwed something up horribly, then realism wise it will be vastly inferior to Race
