I think it will be very close, but MS hasn't been marketing this nearly as much as they did halo 3 yet.
It probaly wont marketing wise but MS doesnt need to spend millions on marketing for reach like they did for halo 3. 3 days ago reach preorders were already over 800,000 so its probaly past a million preorders now. That means reach is already on track to outsell halo 3bigboss5akkeep in mind halo 3 is in the top 3 best selling games ever. it has a while to go to top it.
It won't even sell as much as GT: Prologue...so keep dreaming my friend.No but Reach will easily outsell 99% of other games released this year in a matter of days.

[QUOTE="GabeNewellsPie"]It won't even sell as much as GT: Prologue...so keep dreaming my friend. ODST sold more than prologue and that's not even a full Halo title, Reach will easily outsell prologue.No but Reach will easily outsell 99% of other games released this year in a matter of days.

Anyway, the launch will be bigger. It will sell more than Halo 3...if it somehow doesn't then the economy is to blame and nothing else. It's not like there are any other marketing powerhouses being released in September.No but Reach will easily outsell 99% of other games released this year in a matter of days.

[QUOTE="mitu123"] Not really.Cook1eMonst3rWell, it'll make money.
[QUOTE="GabeNewellsPie"]It won't even sell as much as GT: Prologue...so keep dreaming my friend. Every main Halo game by Bungie outsold it, even a expansion pack ODST did, the same will happen here.No but Reach will easily outsell 99% of other games released this year in a matter of days.

Reach looks marvelous, but is nowhere near as hyped and sought-after as Halo 3 was prior to its launch. Initial sales won't impress, and that's more or less a fact by now.No but Reach will easily outsell 99% of other games released this year in a matter of days.

No and because of 2 reasons. We got a halo game last year, even though its a spin off doesnt really matter peoples excitement wont be at the same level because we still have halo on the brain, and also because its not titled Halo 4.. People might think its just another spin off like halo wars or ODST and not realize its actually the next big halo game
i dont see why it wouldnt be bigger, its the first real halo since H3
andtheres like 20 million more 360's out there
i completely agree, nothing is the sales juggernaut that Halo is. i cant wait, its going to be the best fps ever.No but Reach will easily outsell 99% of other games released this year in a matter of days.
