Will Red Dead Redemption get an HD update?

Don't you think it will, SW? The game was very successful and loved by many. Surely Rockstar is working on an HD remaster. Right, SW?

If rockstar lets MS add it to their BC list I'd say no. If they don't add it to the BC list I would say they could possibly be bringing a remaster.

We might find out tomorrow. This is very, very far-fetched, but this week we will find out some new things about XOne BC apparently, and we are already mid-week and no news yet. I'm thinking the news will hit in the next few days to coincide with Pax Prime.

If this news includes new BC titles, and if some of those titles include Rockstar games such as RDR, then Rockstar may take this opportunity to also announce other things regarding RDR. Also, If they support XOne BC, the demand for a RDR re-master might decrease in the short term. They may still come out with one, but they wouldn't want to compete with their own game by releasing it close to the "re-release" of RDR via XOne BC.

Anyways, this is pure conjecture on my part, I'm just having fun here......I'd love an enhanced RDR but only if it is a significant upgrade, won't care much if it's a small graphical overhaul.

I really doubt it, at least not soon. They have new games to work on, and several IPs to choose a next project from. If they were interested in revisiting it they would've popped a PC port out years ago.

Just release it on PC! Every time I play I wish that I could play in 1440p with proper shadows and antialiasing. Going from GTAV PC to Red Dead on 360 is tough on the eyes

Its been over 5 years since RDR came out, i think its about time for the sequel, not old shit we've beaten half a decade ago.

RDR is definitely one of the games at the top of my list of most wanted remasters... it'd be epic!

It'd be neat, but aside from a few titles, I've just never really revisited games.

RDR was a technical marvel coming from blue/ orange GTA IV to photoreal grass and plains with animals I turned on the game just to watch the clouds move and watch the Lightning storm drift away and sunlight come out. Remaster please

How do u figure? The game was a huge hit right away and it is one of the best games I have ever played. It's a shame it never made it to PC.

I actually liked the Zombie DLC more than the main game.

Game is still selling on last Gen actually they reported that it has sold 14 million since its release just a few days ago.

However if they did announce a sequel which they will since RDR is a huge success then they might do a remaster on PS4 and release it on PC too a few months before release.

No. RDR's code is a completely nightmare on both platforms. They would have to basically redo the thing from scratch just to re-release it.

It's all about the developer. Activision isn't putting any COD games out there for BC. I am getting COD:BO3 but I would love for them to announce an edition of the game where I get BO3 and get BC For BO1, 2 and world of war. I would even pay a little extra for it :)

I still have my GOTY edition and untill the disc snaps in 2 and i can't find it any more , then i'll cry for a re-release.

You don't need to buy gears remaster to get bc u are misinformed the original gears titles will work in November when bc is released you put the disc you already own in

really? i dont think i ever encountered frame rate dips when i played it. or are you talking about it being 30fps?

It ran better on the X360 and it had severe frame drops in larger cities/villages so I think the PS3 had them too.

having better graphics won't change that the game is boring and repetitive as hell.
