Will the 360 or Wii get an AAAAe this year ?

I think 360 will get an AAAAe this fall probably it will be Gears 2.

The Wii might get an AAAAe, if Fable 2 *actually* delivers on the Molyneux promises, it'll be an AAAAe, ToV or ToS2 might be AAAAe, there's always a chance.

The PC will for sure get an AAAAe with Spore, innovation baby, innovation.

From all accounts, the ps3 might get another AAAAe with Little Big Planet.

Gears 2 could. I don't even know what games the Wii has coming out this year. But SMG "only" got 9.5 so I don't see any AAAAE's for the Wii. As for the PS3, LBP or even Resistance 2 could get AAAAE.

Before you laugh at me for saying Resistance 2, remember this- MGS3 got 8.7 and MGS4 got 10. Resistance 1 got 8.6 so it's not impossible. And the game is sounding pretty damn incredible. And we should get the gameplay footage sometime tonight! Damn, this has been a good week for PS3 owners.

Well it seems easier for games to get 10 here ever since all the old staff left, so it's possible. I don't see anything on Wii this year so far but we'll have to wait for E3 with that one.

I don't see anything on 360 aswell but Gears is a big franchise, there will be plenty of hype for that one and it's a shooter, so who knows.

Both Gears 2 and Fable 2 are the best chance the 360 has for AAAAE. (Dang, that's harder to type them I thought.)

PS3, I dont think any other games can. Though the hype machine will probebly drive LBP to a possible AAAAE, which blows.

since GTAIV got a 10, i was thinking that it'd be easier for just about any big game this year to get a 10. bulletsword

since getting a 10 no longer requires a game to be perfect its entirely possible, but judging how Ninja Gaiden 2 only got an 8.0 despite being a thoroughly awesome game (admittedly with flaws) it all depends on the reviewer.

to see 2 games getting AAAAE in one year... heck in two months... i have a feeling we will start seeing a lot more of them.... bah as far as im concerned there should only be one perfect 10 per generation, basically at the end of a generation a game would get re-reviewd based off all other high ranking games, and the winner would achieve the honour of being the only AAAAE of said gen, kind of like GOTY but in this case "game of the generation"

This trend of perfect scoring worries me. I like critical scoring, I also don't think a game can be a perfect 10.
Thats just my train of thought though, I haven't played MGS4 yet (these scores aren't doing much for my impatience either) but I do own GTA4 and to me its definitely not worthy of a 10.Burnsmiesta

A 10 is not a perfect. It's only used for those few games that really push themselves above all other games in its genre.

The only other game that might score a 10 this year is Spore and I guess that's considered an exclusive since the PC version is going to be much different and way superior than on any other platform.

That's some pretty low standards there. The only other game that really has a chance right now is Spore IMO.

If Fable 2 manages to deliver on all of PM's promises it'll be AAAA for sure, and it seems F2 is doing a much better job at "not failing" on those promises than the first Fable. Granted, pete's still promising more with the story than any game could ever deliver, so this is a pretty long shot.

Wii, no idea. Nintendo's pretty secretive about their releases, so I have no idea what they have in store for this year.

I'm definitely keeping a close eye on Fable 2 and Gears of War, but I have a custom PC build in the works on which I will paly one of the greatest AAAA's of all time....Crysis and Spore WHICH I CANT WAIT FOR which rhymes.

Ahem. 360 has had Halo 3, BioShock, and Gears Of War.

Gears Of War will be hyped to kingdom come...but if Epic can pull it off it will probably get 10 from GS at least, and a definite 10 from the 360 magazines. Fable 2 looks like something to watch...If Molyneux will get off his ass and stop being a lazy corporate director.

I seriously doubt Gears 2 will be AAAA. Personally, I would hype it a 9.0 at best. More likely an 8.5 or 8.0.
