Not true, Splinter Cell was origonally an Xbox exclusive but then went multiplat with Playstation 2 and GameCube versions of it. Splinter Cell to this day is still multiplat, howerver the best version of the game still remains on the Xbox. This is pretty much true for all the Splinter Cell series except Double Agent (which the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 verisons are identical) (too bad that game sucked hard though). We haven't heard anything on Conviction in a while becuase the developers saw they were ruining another great series and started over, so its probabbly likely it will launch on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC all at the same time.

you have never played a splinter cell yes it may have stealth and all but it's not really the same gameplay for a few exceptions..go watch your cutscenes!:roll:

No but MGS4 has one of the worst online multiplayer in video game history

Because the game uses stealth its a copy cat? Splinter Cell is better with stealth anyway. MGS does not even come close to Splinter Cell in terms of tactical stealth.

And let me correct you, The best versions of the original Splinter Cell games were the PC versions.
I always loved MGS and still do, but the change in the gameplay for 4, although fun, makes stealth hardly a necessity. I always preferred Splinter cell as a stealth series anyway due to the level of reality. No superhuman enemies, leave them for Snake.
Double Agent was allright. I think Conviction is going to be more action than stealth but beware of the civilians they might call the police on you. lol

As far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't be canon. Conviction should reboot the series.
