The PS4 was--and is--the most powerful console in the world. Be definition, it is not obsolete, and has not been so from the start.
That doesn't mean it's powerful. Being the tallest little person is class doesn't make you tall. The FACT that 2 years old PC equipment was smashing it at launch tells you it was.
My point though is the PS4 is marginally more powerful than the X1 so if the X1 was obsolete at launch then so was the PS4. Don't be ignorant your whole life

Nah, I highly doubt it. It would be silly if Microsoft and Sony only made games that were compatible with Scorpio and Pro as not everyone wants to upgrade.

No if it were a fact then there wouldn't be a discussion by anyone but since we're having one it isn't. Hardware wise they are obsolete and that's MY opinion. Maybe Trump makes good on closing Chinese trade deals, causing companies like MS to not be able to rely on Foxconn to make our consoles cheap, either hatling production or raising prices of units for domestic consumption. Only other semi-big XB1 market seems to be UK, and they're crazy thinking they'll negotiate decades worth of trade deals in whatever narrow window they'll think they'll do that. Sony might not have this issue, they're still viable outside US and UK markets.

Wrong, I said weak but never said suck. The hardware was 2 years behind when they launched which was the exact opposite as the previous gen when they were at lvl or ahead of PC. That's my point and THAT"s why I say obsolete.

Not even close, as far as I'm concerned these consoles just hit their prime, a point which is debated by many people still. Regardless, I expect them to be supported for many years to come.
