Will the PS4 make it through a life cycle?

With the Xbox One having a far superior launch and library line up over the next 18 months, and the comparison video of multiplat games clearing showing the Xbox has more detail, texture, light and better overall graphics and performance (BF4 and CoD) Will the PS4 survive? Not to mention a UI from the early millennium.......

I have serious doubts it will make it 7-10 years.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. Mine is that PS4 will heavily outsell XB1 because of price and better exclusives and multiplats.

Playstation has always had the best game library compared to the competition in every generation, just so happens that now it is also unquestionably the far most technically powerful machine.

Sony supports their consoles throughput the entire life cycle, just look at this year for all the proof you need. Unlike MS with the 360 when they decided to drop core in 2009 to go upwards of 65% casual with Kinect(lol). Seeing how the PS4 is also the most powerful video game console in the history of video games, developers will continue to pump out world class games for the PS4, after all Sony is synonymous with world class gaming.

Better line up over the next 18 months? We don't even know most of the games coming out next fall yet...Also, performance on both bf4 and cod, as stated multiple times on multiple sites, is better on ps4. Not sure how many times this needs to be said.

I think the opposite will happen in the next year or so.

With a lack lustre launch line-up, rumours of over heating issues and Sony in financial trouble I really fear for this console. Thankfully I pre-ordered an Xbox One and putting my money on a house built on a rock.

I strongly agree with you, the Xbox One will out sell the PS4 over time due to amazing features and cool exclusives that PS4 does not have to offer.

Ok so we have the Xbox 360 coming out a year before PS3 and by the end of the consoles life cycle PS3 are pretty much on level sales yet 360 had a whole year head start.

I'm pretty sure we only know as far as march as of right now, and sony have infamous coming out, and a racing game which will be in 1080p and 60fps and with a weather system and day and night cycle whats xbox one got.

Over heating issues???? we saw a ps4 in a plastic box with no ventilation which turned it self off after a full day inside the box to which they turned it back on and it worked fine.

Xbox One is the one which will struggle, Sony's piece of kit is $100 cheaper and does games at 1080p 60fps and MS has killer instinct which the devs can't even get a simple fighting game to reach 1080p.

Doubt it.

Biggest problem with PC, is piracy. So most companies favor to bring out their game on consoles.
