Will the Xbox 360's 2008 be worst than the Playstation 3's 2007?

We all know that Sony's baby didn't do too well last year when it came to publicity and games. However, it is now the second month in the new year and 360 owners aren't exactly receiving exciting news about their console.

Since this year isn't even close to being over, let's just go with what we already know.

The PS3 last year suffered from:

• exclusive flops (Motorstorm, Lair, Heavenly Sword)
• loads of poor multiplats and ports (Madden NFL 07, F.E.A.R, Orange Box)
• delayed big name exclusives (MGS4, Killzone 2)

The 360 this year is suffering from

• first big name exclusive title flop (Lost Odyssey)
• Marvel Universe cancelled
• line-up of games being concerned about
• continuation of RROD?

You're making the mistake of applying system wars silliness to reality. Lair was bad for Sony as it was a big game which turned out to be really, really bad. Heavenly Sword and Lost Odyssey are by no means bad things. You've got a great action game and a great RPG.

Just because they were reviewed .5 less than required to not make them "flops" here doesn't mean they're seen as bad in the real world. Heck, i really wish system wars would grow up by now and stop this pointless attempt to turn a forum into a game.

If it's hyped as awesome and turns out to be crap, it's a flop. If it scores 0.1 less than expect, for crying out loud, no criticism should be made.

see... this is the garbage I'm talking about... PS3 2007 lineup didn't have a single AAA!! barely a AA... 360 08 is just as good as Sony if not better...

2008 will be the best year ever for the 360 because of one thing: Banjo Kazooie 3.

PS3 only did bad last year in the mind of System Wars fanboys, just as the 360's "2008 flop".

As for the 360, with exclusives such as Ninja Gaiden II, Fable 2 and multiplats like Soul Calibur IV, GTA IV and Too Human, how is that bad ? It may not be stellar like PS3's, but it's by no means bad.

ps3 2007 had many aaa's. oblivion, graw 2, sigma, cod4, ect are all AAA.

and actually, to do better than ps3 in 2007, 360 in 08 will have to sell more than ps3 did in 07.

And to the main point, no it wont. Speaking exclusives, you've got Banjo 3, Halo Wars, Ninja Gaiden 2, Too Human, and Fable 2.

what about the wii's? does nobody care about it? Brawl, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart? All of these are triple A titles, atleast!blingchu55

I don't think any of those games console predecessor's have scored AAA.

All the 360 has to do is get one exclusive AAA game in 2008 and it will be better than PS3s 2007.jet052006

I have said many times about lineups-they cannot be compared objectively. I never liked MGS or FF, so I do not really have much reason to care for the PS3's lineup. However, I loved Fable, and Too Human looks amazing to me, so I prefer the 360's lineup.

im fairly sure mario kart did. But its Brawl Mario kart and animal crossing! While the animal crossing hype is founded on rumors, mario kart has proven it's self fantastic, and isnt melee the most competitivly played video game ever?

Im not trying to say that they are bad games, but I dont think any of them have been AAA. As for the rest Im not sure, I always thought that was Starcraft or something like that.
