Will there be a new graphics king in less than 24 hours?

With Crysis 3 releasing very soon, Cevat Yerli has promised that Crysis 3 will melt your PC's.  I personally believe BF3 in SP mode is by far the best looking game this generation.  The game looks absolutely stunning with every setting at ultra with AA at 2560x1440 resolution.  Max Payne 3 was a close second.    

Crytek lied to the PC fanbase a lot before the release of Crysis 2 so i am taking what he says with a giant grain of salt.  

I don't think Crytek will deliver and BF3 will retain it's throne.

We already know that.  Only PC games can claim the graphics king throne.

The leader of Crytek already said consoles would match Crysis 3 at launch.

I have a hard time believing next gen console games will be able to match BF3.

Even the 360 footage looked really good,The lighting looked fantastic. I am expecting big things from the PC version. Pre-loading it right now, but will have to wait until the morning to play.

I do think Max Payne 3 is insane looking beacuse of those textures.  The game was 35 gigs on PC just to give PC gamers the complete experience.  Kinda funny how R* arguably made the best looking game this generation and yet they give gamers unoptimized crap like GTAIV.  

The use of tessellation also is superb.  

 I only give the edge to BF3 because of it's scale while maintaining such excellent visuals.

Those look really good.  Facial features look amazing.  

I really hope Crytek didn't skimp on the textures this time.  Max Payne 3 had amazing textures the entire game.  A big budget game should look consistent.  

Crysis 2 had some problem spots.

I take it you have played both?  If Crytek went back to their roots, Crysis 3 will have outstanding gameplay.  

Im curiosu to see how long the SP is as I have zero interest in the MP. I imagine I'll get it during a Steam sale.Heil68

Nope I think BF3 PC will take its rightful place Crysis 3 has no chance of toping it.

So you bought the game just because it is pretty?

I bought it because i enjoyed Crysis 1 and am hoping it is more like that game.  I thought i made that very clear.  

I've just started playing some of it and even though I have to set it to medium with textures high to get a playable framerate it still clearly looks better than what Crysis 2 did at the highest settings with the DX11 patch. Heck I even tried setting the preset to low and even then Crysis 2 has a rough time to compete with it. 

No doubt the most visually impressive game I've seen since The Witcher 2 (unless we include modded titles). I never bought and played the full version of BF3 though.

Bf3's single player(pc), was easily the best looking game/ most realisticto date. We were discussing this on Crydev, and I posted a comparison of Bf3 and C2's daytime, and Bf3 literally looked a gen apart. We came  to the consensus that is was the gi that bf3 uses that really sets it apart. Aside from the great shaders and textures it has. But, I think C3 will finally dethrone it.

Definitely will be the undisputed king.

Surely, but I highly doubt that it will beat Last Light in atmosphere.
