That sort of depends on how "good" someone found OoT.

There already have been games better than OoT. Wind Waker for example. The fact that OoT has gotten a 10 from GS and prefect scores from other websites doesn't mean that it can't be surpassed.
As long as the Wii is out, NO.

I don't understand how that works. Is the Wii preventing good games from being made? I didn't think this thread was just about Zelda games. In any case, the next Zelda iteration could be far beyond OoT in every way.
If you look at it without nostalgia and/or fanboyism you will see that the only reason OoT was so big was because:
1. It was the next game in the famous and exclusive Zelda franchise from Nintendo.
2. It basically was one of the first games in consoles to introduce proper 3-D, especially in Action Adventure games.
So basically the good old hype. If you realize this you know there have been many games since then that have been as good if not better.
There are better games in my opinion in fact Super Mario 64 had a bigger impact on me than Ocarina of Time but I still perfer Galaxy over that game.
Honestly, it's not nostalgia I'm talking about here. I'm talking more so about the experience I had when I was actually playing through the game.mr-krinkles
Well its pretty much up to the gamer if they find OoT a great game or not, chances are if they dislike the game to start with then obviously they will find better games than Oot. If they like it to a high level of degree then chances are they will probably not find one. People in the middle will have a wide variety of opinions of course.
There have been tons of games as good as OoT, because that game was terrible.monkeytoes61the TRUTH! the nostalgia rose-tinted glasses kill real perspective.
I still have my OoT cartridge and N64 hooked up. I play the game occassionally to see how it's aged. The framerate is piss-poor, the animations are clunky, and the puzzles are formulaic. Fact is, OoT doesn't hold up well against the best games in the current gen.
I'm not denying that OoT was influential (almost every 3d action/adventure game has some element originally from Ocarina). I'm just saying it doesn't hold up well against the elite games of today.
