lol Uncharted was a great game because of it's story not because of its graphics (but it was still pretty good for its time).

If Uncharted 4 can somehow negate PC from existing anymore, period, then yes it will be graphics king.

I need a serious answer..... what in the world is a graphics king? what does it consist of ? To me the best kind of graphics are the artistic cell shaded ones.. it cannot get any better than that in terms of a gorgeous looking game for me. I'm not talking about the Spider-man games cell shaded but more on the lines of Valkyrie chronicles.

It's Naughty God. So of course it will be. Obviously until the A-Team Naughty God game comes out. The only studio that can probably come close is a Sony Santa Monica (Stigs Team) game and CDPR (although their games will truly shine on the PC obviously).

Yep and some of the best artists in the industry as well. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't at least in the top 5 best looking games when it comes out.

For sure, Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us are the graphics kings so it should be easy for them to keep the title.

Agreed, some of their work on TLOU looked next gen already in terms of lighting. Shadows were VERY dynamic in that game and the illumination of some areas was brilliant.

Hell, even just having their games in 1080p with decent AA, AF and some higher res textures would look fricken sexy

Even as a hardcore pc gamer hardcore, I gotta say, the visual quality here is well above 90% of pc games.

Agreed, 2 and 3 were pretty sharp. Although by the time it comes out it will have some pretty stiff competition.

they will use the same Engine from the PS3 on the PS4, so I wouldn't be too sure with the UE4 and CryEngine around. They'll need to come up with some epic art direction to stay on top of console graphic king.

that's why ND's are king of consoles. Capcom even used Uncharted to compare DR3 saying that the game looks just like it but open-world.

ND's got some ridiculous talent, the fact they actually have powerful hardware to deliver on now is going to produce some truly amazing stuff.

I really wish they would release a ps4 version of TLOU tho.

Uncharted is like the perfect franchise to show off pretty graphics and cool effects. Graphics king is such a vague concept as the quality of graphics depends on sooo many things. It's also extrremely hard to compare genres. UC4 will be a glorious spectacle though :)!

Ps3 gpu - 178 gflops ps4 gpu - 1840 gflops and GCN

Ps3 - 512mb ddr3/xdr ps4 - 8gb gddr5

So 10x gpu power and factor in newer architecture, and 16 the ammount of memory that is of a much faster variety.

Then there is an 8 core cpu, although the cores are nothing to write home about it is still a good deal more powerful than the cell and it's 64 bit and out of order.

So

not even close. These jaguar CPU's aren't even more powerful than the X360's Xenon! Although x86 is more versatile and streamlined than powerPC.

ND games are linear not open world.

Vanilla Crysis looks very dated by todays standards. The mods to make the graphics good require a powerful pc very few people can play at even 30fps.

So yes, Crysis isn't graphics king. Uncharted 2 is an amazing achievement. Uncharted 4 will look life like.

How does that invalidate that Crysis still looks better? It doesn't, unless you qualify it with "graphics king that everyone can play".

No game will look life-like this gen.. the PS4 specs are not that godly.

On consoles, most likely for a time. Ironically what I kind of want to see most on PS4 right now of all things is not new games but HD Remakes of old games. Games like Uncharted 1-3 and The Last of Us remade in glorious 1080p/60fps.

Whoa! Hold it. I meant that Crysis from 2007 still looks better than current gen console games, Shadow Fall on the other hand, no doubt looks leaps and bounds better than the former. However, it pales in comparison with the third Crysis.
