The Nintendo Wii is still selling like crazy, the 360 sales are steady, and the PS3 looks to be on the rise with the upcoming releases of Metal Gear Solid 4, Lair, and Blu Ray starting to pick up. So my question is ... Do you think with will have a permanent industry leader after Christmas 2007?
give it til 2008 at least...the other two are still pretty much at their beginning stages...wait till all of them have been out at least a year or two...

How do we define who wins? Sales? The Wii might sell more to wives and preschool kids than the other two consoles combined, does that make it the best? No. It's gotta be about the games, whichever console has the best wins. For me, at least.

The winner should be by games sold IMO.
And honestly Sony lost IMO in terms of letting the other two back in the race in a huge way and dropping the ball. Sony will most likely win again but very a very slim margin making them the loser really cause they could have kept a bigger lead based off from PS2's success

neither of those games are out yet... neither blu ray or HD DVD are doing great. people are happy with dvd. and there will never be a permanent industry leader for ever. just one company who has the upper hand in one point in time. you're asking all the wrong questions.

No, I don't think we'll know for sure until around Christmas 2008. I do think the Wii will probably win though. Gamer46
Agreed somewhat... I think Wii will outsell the other two over this generation. Now you know what I don't know if I still agree. Whoever wins this Christmas will more then likely win the console race.
