The way that they talk about the DS, I wouldn't be surprised. Heck, I currently use my DS to browse the web, take notes, read books, listen to music, watch movies, and navigate Chicago (I have a few maps downloaded to it). I also use it to play JRPG's during my commute (train, not driving). Its kind of a swiss army knife, and I wouldn't mind the Wii becoming that.
Just cause it plays video games doesn't mean that it must be limited to that. And if Nintendo can keep coming up with new functionalities, I'm not going to complain. Its not like there won't be another Mario, Zelda, Starfox, Metroid, and Pikmin before the next console comes out.

It's a console and will always be a console. Just because it's whipping both the PS3 and 360 doesn't mean it's not a console.
in sales it is because kids love toys

And so do Adults, and Teens, and Seniors.

I personally consider all gaming consoles toys...
I don't...most of the Wii games require no skill

Wohhh, just because your upset that you have to play Wii music for the rest of the year while gamers play GOW2, Resi 5 and Socom. Your post is just stupid as Wii isnt appealing to the same market as the 360 and PS3 so sales dont matter its like comparing the sales of a watch to trainers.
That's your opinion and opinion =/0 fact.
Besides, good games or not, it will be consider a console.

TBH this year sucks for me :( Not many good games for 360 and Wii.The Wii is a novelty item. It can hardly be called a gaming console.Solidus_Mute

This post invalidates all of your opinions. Why? Because you stoop to typical fanboy drivel like talking down to others and making silly assumptions. :|

I must admit you got me there.
Is Wii music classed as a game?, I would say its an interactive disc and if more games like it come out and eventually take over game like Mario and Animal Crossing (haha), maybe eventually Wii will become its own type of machine. Think of a good name for it.Solid_Snake300

slaterdragoon
How can you do that?
Maybe its because I have the old DS. =/
I made a post like this in another thread... how hard is this to get into you peoples brain?!
THE WII PLAYS GAMES THEREFORE ITS A GAME CONSOLE. THATS IT.
If the Bluraystation is considered a game system then anything can be. (that's fighting fire with fire, fanboy dribble more precisely)Bigboi500
Its called a multi-faceted computer entertainment system. It uses a cell processor and has more features than an S-Class. the wii, on the other hand, is essentially a toy to amuse 2 year-old for the first week until its tucked under their beds. More of an impulse purchase than the other two consoles in my opinion. I really dont consider the wii next gen. its mostly for people who dont know how to send an email IMO. yknow, the granny or toddler crowd.

Fanboy of the year nominee. Atleast my posts are mostly made in humor.[QUOTE="superferret2029"][QUOTE="Bigboi500"]If the Bluraystation is considered a game system then anything can be. (that's fighting fire with fire, fanboy dribble more precisely)Bigboi500
