this would be good for competition to get better graphics but does anyone see it happening realistically?

lol ^^^^^The real question is will ps3 ever show these supposed awesome leap of graphics over 360, Which it hasnt

I've seen both consoles graphics and both were excellent so who cares who hasbetter graphics? I honestly can't tell.
Yes 360 and PS3 have the same graphic verison of Crysis 2, Crysis 2 looks better than Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2, therefore the 360 can infact run better graphcis than the PS3 or the very least is on par.this would be good for competition to get better graphics but does anyone see it happening realistically?
Jone_Z
graphically (tech) no, both consoles are equal and neither will get better theyve been maxed out for some time
visually (looks, art, visual appeal) while this is subjective, i have to say no, the ps3 has an edge with visuals. but really it depends on the dev.
wait what? do you speak for Sony?no. 360 is **** compared to ps3.
InfiniteBlak
I See Why
Too bad my 360 is strictly used to play awesome games on
Graphics it's all about graphics even if its the SLIGHTEST better looking pixel you'll have a million cows mooing in happiness, it's hilarious until you yank one of there utters out. Anybody who knows anything about hardware and compares the two will know that the PS3 may have the advantage in some areas it isn't going to have the graphical capability to wipe the floor with the 360. It may have some better looking games here and there but it isn't going to be all that noticeable and anybody who thinks otherwise has never owned a 360 or knows squat about hardware.

its not just about graphics its also quality which is PS3 exclusive.I think it all comes down to the art style and how much time the makers are willing to put into the game.

Did this have any bearing whenever the PS2 was holding the xbox back? No. Nor does this now. this gen is different the graphics bring something other gens didnt bring to gaming. Realism, Immersion.[QUOTE="themyth01"][QUOTE="Jone_Z"] have you heard about The Cell?Jone_ZWhat of it? its exclusive to the PS3.
Which it proves very useless to 3rd party developers.
lol @ thinking graphics = competition  That crap only matters to fanboys on forums. Gamers play games, these companies worry about their bottom line, not graphics :Pthis would be good for competition to get better graphics but does anyone see it happening realistically?

[QUOTE="XileLord"]its not just about graphics its also quality which is PS3 exclusive. I agree the PS3 does have some quality exclusives but to say the 360 doesn't is to be ignorant. In the end it's all just useless babbling of opinions which people like to call facts and it never gets anywhere but a ban but i can tell you straight out that if your looking for the PS3 to destroy the 360 in the graphical capabilities department it isn't going to happen because it's hardware isn't much better but then again it depends on how you define better, for instance which console do devs have a easier time developing games for? The 360 but if time and effort is put into the PS3 it can have some SLIGHTLY (and i mean a tiny bit) better looking games but is it worth it if games sell better on the 360? Not unless sony throws out the cash to make up for it and either way the consoles are both already outdated in terms of hardware in the PC world by far.Graphics it's all about graphics even if its the SLIGHTEST better looking pixel you'll have a million cows mooing in happiness, it's hilarious until you yank one of there utters out. [QUOTE="garland51"][QUOTE="Jone_Z"] its exclusive to the PS3.Jone_Z

we'll see about that.Yeah. They're just going to waste more development time & money just trying to get PS3 versions of games to be on par or even look better than the 360 versions. Never mind that the PS3 is still in last place & that most PS3 versions of games sell worse than 360 versions of games do.
Keep dreaming.

Why cows constantly like to yap about how great the ps3 graphics are is beyond me when a good recent PC title could destroy any game on the PS3 in terms of graphics.XileLord
Exactly. The cows arrogance will get the best of them. They probably just ignore the cold hard fact that the PC can easily destroy the PS3's graphics like Uncharted 2. If the PS3 is so powerful like the cows claimed, then I would love to see the developers try push the PS3's graphics to Native 1080p (or even higher). You can do that on the PC, & play games at Native 1080p, or higher. Nope, can't do that with the PS3; sorry! So much for it being "more powerful."
[QUOTE="garland51"][QUOTE="Jone_Z"] we'll see about that.Jone_Z

Bioware says hiReally now? LMAO. The PS3 version of Dragon's Age has problems on it, too. Plus the only reason the PS3 version succeeded over the 360 version is because that the 360 version didn't have multiple discs.

Succeeded is a very debatable term anyway. The 360 had SUPERIOR frame rates. Of course Kevin won't put any credience into this because it would require him to eat his words on his review. I personally would much rather a better frame rate when even with the graphics comparison here at GS I could see no/hardly a difference between the two versions. PS. Bioware didn't do the console versions. So they wouldn't be saying HI anyway. Please Log In to post.
