Halo Reach is not Halo 3, Halo Odst is not Halo 3. They are different games with different stories. Forza 4 isnt out yet, you havent played it, Gears Judgement isnt out, you havent played it. Stop being a ******* troll or at the very least actually try. Also its not next gen, its current gen. Next gen was used 7 years ago when Xbox and PS2 were still actually being sold. Next gen is now Xbox 720 and PS4, WiiU, Vita etc. All consoles are in a downward trend in sales, including the PS3. The industry as a whole is suffering right now due to the summer drought of games. Xbox 360 is outselling both PS3 and the Wii, and by the end of the generation at this rate the 360 might pass the Wii in total sales. Are you jelly?Brean24

At least Xbox is guaranteed to be here next gen. Can't say the same for Playstation. The death of Playstation is all but guaranteed next gen, maybe even before next gen, and I look forward to playing Playstation games on my 720, while making threads on gamespot that are dedicated to cows and my fondest memories of the Playstation brand before it turned to shiit. What do you mean by "win" exactly? In SW? Don't know and don't really care, don't really care about Xbox in real life either.

If by "win" you mean win my money or my preference, well that would require MS to make several changes to the Xbox brand like better 1st party, free online and several other things. But alas I do not see this happening so Xbox loses this gen for me.

Next gen I'm going with PS4 and Wii U. PC maybe as well if I upgarde it some more.

It needs more than a few years support, many more exclusive IPs, and needs to do well in any other part of the world outside NA.

Who knows - going casual worked for Nintendo, in terms of sales, maybe it will help MS win ? ... or maybe people have grown wiser?

Last gen the ps2 utterly destroyed the GameCube and Xbox in sales and quality. This year first place belongs to the wii. Next gen looks to be no better the Xbox, Microsoft has shown they can't create new ip, they charge for live while psn is free, and smart consumers will be cautious in buying the new Xbox because of this gens RROD woes. Not to mention the downward trend of the 360s sales. The so called "powerhouse exclusives" have also been getting worse and worse. Halo reach and odst were glorified halo 3 re-runs, fable 3 was a flop and journey looks to be casual garbage, forza 4 was worse than 3 by a mile, Gears judgement is the same game as gears 3, and crackdown 2 was a huge flop. Sorry lems looks like next gen belongs to Sony. Jelly ;)?slugger909

PlayStation will take 2nd place anytime now (eventhough 360 had a huge headstart advantage), they're selling way more consoles on a weekly basis and the gap between the two is only 1.8 million, a few months ago it was about 4 million
PlayStation has a much larger user base
PlayStation still has new ip's coming out, 360 only has rehashes coming out
