I'm playing some NSMBU before class. Just got done with Soda Jungle's secret level. Died a few times cause I didn't know wtf to do.

     i come to this forum a lot and rarely post all. I see that a lot of people talk about the wii u not being successful and saying they will never get it. i thought the PS Vita was going to fail for being released in a market mainly dominated by the mobile devices and the ds thinking i should not get it since it will be a waste of money. When the system released i still ended up buying the system. i didnt buy it for the graphics or the brand it carried (well a tiny bit on the graphics and that i was days away from deploying to afghanistan) but i bought it for the fact that i must own all systems that i can possibly own. i realy didnt like the playstation 3 when it first released thinking that it was too expensive and lacked the games at the time but i eventually got the system when i managed to save money (granted i was in iraq and saving quiet a bit). Same thing with the first xbox, i didnt know much about microsoft's ability on the console race and didnt have a reason to buy it since i had a ps2, but a year after it launched i got the system. i got these systems to exerience the games that they offered. Now here is the wii u and i see it doesnt have much games and people say its too over priced for the hardware and so do i. eventualy i will get the system for the simple fact that the gamer in me wants to have it. now as for loyalty for the brand i am an xbox fan and will support the 360 for its services it offers. does that means that i will bash on the other systems? yes (but not like they do here) i still support the PS3, Vita, nintendo DS, and PC (i currently have an asus g73jh for the barracks and a gaming deskto that makes that laptop feel like its in the stone age back at home) because the gamer in me wants to support them.  

now what i want to ask you is do any of you feel the same like me and will eventually get it or will you guys shun it for all eternity?

Yes, eventually I will get a Wii U when Smash Bros, Zelda, and a new 3D Mario game come out.

Yeah, I'd like to have one right now. There's enough games I want to justify a purchase.

Holding out to see what the price of the PS4 is or if it will do super dumb online DRM kind of stuff.  If the PS4 is actually legit, I'll get a WiiU down the line.  If PS4 is all screwed up and douchey and charges for online gaming...  Then I'll get a WiiU immediately.

No. Pretty much because of what was brought up on Rev3Games. Between the 3DS and the WiiU it just brings the question, why get the WiiU when you can get the 3DS. Where Nintendo even said that 2013 is suppose to be the best year for the 4DS (for games).

I agree with them. I haven't seen a single game I would want to play on the WiiU, while the 3DS actually has a good library and is getting some great games for this year.

Nope, unless they make a pokemon game with the same animations as Ni No Kuni, of course it wont happen since this is Nintendo so if they wont bother then i wont bother with them either.

They need at least 5 exclusive games that don't involve typical Nintendo Characters that I would love to play.

5 Awesome games that feature Nintendo Characters (Zelda, 3D Mario, ect).

They also need a price drop to $175.

Getting the Wii U right now is like getting a Corvette without gas. It's pretty, sleek and has potential but you can't do anything with it.

ZombiU was not a very good game. It was average. Now if ZombieU was amazing, must have Zombie game, WiiU would look a little bit more attractive to a lot of hardcore gamers right now.

I thought it was a great game. Played through it once and on my 2nd playthrough. It's not perfect, but no game is. It is the most pure survival horror in terms of a zombie apocalypse that you're going to find right now. You actually feel as though you are trying to survive. That's my opinion anyway. Took 14 hours my first time through so it's also a lengthy game. I hope they make a sequel personally.

As for the original TC's post and this "kiddy" comment, I already own a Wii U (obviously) and am playing it more than my 360/PS3. The guy with the kiddy comments seems to be an insecure 33 year old that hasn't quite grown up from the age of 17.
