A lot of times I go from PS3 to Wii, and of course the graphical difference is noticed more than ever after doing so. However, i litereally bought Uncharted 2 and WW on the same day. After playing Uncharted 2 for a long time (it is a great game after all), I played WW. I was shocked by how amazng the game looked (I bought the game a looong time ago and it broke shortly after). The game looks amazing. I didn't feel the graphical difference too much. Of course there are the few things that are imperfect graphically (it's a last gen game.), but the game holds up very well. I can actually see myself in 5 or 10 years liking this game graphically more than most PS3 and 360 games. IDK if that just me though. Anyone else agree.

I agree. 16:9 is probably one of the very few details it's missing. Everything else is just, as you said, timeless.

Actually, Jet Set Radio Future (Xbox) and possibly Jet Grind Radio (Dreamcast) are the definition of timeless graphics. The JSR series holds up better than any other game created graphically. I have Wind Waker and it is spectacular and it still holds up beautifully today because of the graphics, though gameplay-wise, and I was replaying it just a few weeks ago, Twilight Princess is actually the better-designed game, nostalgia be damned. Wind Waker just holds up better than TP.

But Jet Set Radio Future is the definition of timeless when it comes to graphics. I'd say Rez (PS2) and Okami (PS2) also hold up really well along with Wind Waker, but JSRF raises the standards of the entire audio-visual side of videogaming and that's no small feat. This is a standard that in my opinion has never been matched again. It's just a shame that Smilebit was absorbed back into Sega and now make those horrible Mario and Sonic games for the Wii. I guess if it pays the bills....

Except that's not how it looks. It's more like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Xpp6GiedoQ How about Jet Set Radio Future if that's the case?

The Windwaker had THE best graphics in cel shaded visuals on any console ever...at that time. The frame rate never, ever dropped. Windwaker is one of the best games I've played in the decade, innovative, and I reapply to what I said about its visuals from above.

I completely agree. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and the graphics are just timeless, I've always been attracted to the visuals and artstyle, just plain gorgeous.

You can say that about pretty much any cell shaded game, and FYI, Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi has better cell-shading than WW.

The new Prince of Persia's cell shading was meh. So was Dragonball Z's. Okami's cell shading is overated (not bad, gorgeous game but the cell shading isn't anything special). Yeah I went there. Wind Waker is like the only thoroughly well done detailed and lively cell shaded game. (Okami could be made an argument as well but I think that the actual cell shading wasn't amazing, the filter and the art direction was)

Alot games like that stand the test of time against newer games, I never had the opportunity to play windwaker (damn its the only 3d zelda I have missed). But I have Team Fortress 2 and I am amazed how its art style holds up to the newer games.

Dude, the parts of Budokai Tenkaichi that are cell-shaded obliterate WW. The quality is just so much higher.

Umm...wasn't obvious that was a bullshot :? It's obviously not gameplay at all. I just posted the first WW pic. And it represents the game quite well. You get the basic picture. And I have played the game. IDK if the Cell Shading is better, but in the end the overall artstyle was still much better than that game.

The look of Wind Waker is what make it one of my favorite overall games ever. I just want to explore the world whenever I look at it. So I agree, and same as Yoshi's Island. Maybe Mario Galaxy, but its too soon...

Agreed. I'm one of the people that grew up on the Nintendo brand and hated that the Wii wasn't HD capable. But now and then, I pop in Wind Waker and I'm astounded by how it aged so gracefully. Hell, it didn't even age at all. If you dont believe me, pop in a Gamecube game and be prepared to fall off of your seat.

Yeah it still looks great. I remember when everyone was complaining about the graphics. Cell shaded games in general seem to age much slower. If I look at my current collection of PS3 and PC games most of them will probably be seen as poor looking in 15 years except maybe Valkyria Chronicles and Blazblue. Art style ftw.

Sadly my copy of the game is approx. 10,000 miles away. After seeing the pics I want to play it again.

I should contact my family back home and see if someone can locate it amongst my crap and send it to me... along with my copy of OOT: Master Edition. I think I have some other Gamecube games too... forget which ones.

I actually liked the graphical presentation of Twighlight Princess better, but yeah, Wind Waker is one of my son's favorite games.Another game that could be considered Timeless graphics would be Resident Evil Code Veronice on the Dreamcast. I play that game every now and then, and it still looks remarkable!!

The stick it got at the beginning was huge because of its look but deep down the graphics have withstood the test of time. It is my favourite Zelda game and it got me into the series.

I personally liked Twilight princesses graphics more much more adult I connected with them more.
