Wipeout HD 9.0 IGN

This review is from the US IGN. It scored very well and from what they are saying and showing this game looks to be worth every bit of its $20 price tag.

Considering out of the 6 reviews on metacritic all are 90+ for Wipeout HD that's pretty impressive. Except for GS they are all by themselves at 75 that says something to.

Actually the GS review is just garbage. Dinging it for being a remake is poor reviewing. It doesn't change if it is a good game or not. Just as an example of my point... Ikaruga on Dreamcast scored 8.5 on X360 it also scored 8.5 and the X360 version still had the same framerate problems according to the review. Even as a remake on X360 it still scored high because it doesn't change the fact that its still a good game.

I just listened to the soundtrack of this game and its excellent. The past ones were good but this one is great. Makes me want it even more.

I like IGN's reviews better than GS.

Yeah, i think the consensus is that GS screwed this one up mightily. The score seems to be quite a bit off the average.

Something is wrong with GS reviews when they are the only ones reviewing this game under a 9.0.

I predict abnormal scores for upcoming titles.

Ikaruga added online and leadership boards so it wasn't just a remake. I'm sure if it was the same game from the dreamcast version it would have scored less.

Dang, yea another one of those reviews that sounds great but then they nitpick something to death. Guess what gamespot, I haven't got a psp lol, nor have I heard the music from the psp version, nor have I seen the ships from the psp version. So Gamespot will I enjoy the game? From the looks of the other scores I think I would enjoy it to the tune of 9.0 to 9.5 range then wouldn't I lol.

I mean what are they even comparing this game to, to get a score it self lol. For $20 you get 8player online, 2player split screen and how many modes. Also you get 1080p @60fps glorious visiuals much less the great gameplay. Really Gamespot only a 7.5 geez not even a 8.5 lol.

My oppinion is that they are setting something up for some future releases to make them stand out, how they are under rating some games now so badly. I have my hunches where this is all leading to, and if it happens it may just be the last day I visit GS, if it pans out like I'm thinking.

Lems every week after MGSIV Review: Bu bu, It's not AAAAE on GR. GR is more valid because it has all the reviews.

The gamespot review is garbage . Did that guy even play the game ? It has trophy support, full HD graphics, and costs $20 . Seen it all before ? WELCOME TO GAMING, where most games are what we've seen before . Did you give Halo 3, UT3, C&C3, GTA4 a 7.5 because we had seen it before ? Didn't think so ...a 7.5 is a slap in the face for Liverpool Studios . From me they get a big Bravo for their acomplishment . Keep up the good work, Psychnosis, I mean Liverpool !!!

I've always agreed with IGN's scores for PSN titles. GS is just too harsh on them.
