Unless there's something you desperately want on the Wii then you could probably just wait for the Wii-U. Not a bad time to buy the other two consoles right now since the PS4 and Nextbox aren't coming for a long time.
Depends on what games you want to play and you budget for a PC.
If you get a PS3/360 now, you'd be set for probably about 22 months. You'd also have a large selection of older games to play, and you'd be able to purchase them for cheap.
If you go with the PC, I guess it just depends on your budget and the games you want.
Just wondering if it would be a better bet to build a PC rather than buy a current gen console that seems will be replaced in the near future?juiceman77
No just buy one used or something.
Only if the parent company is still suporting the console by investing in creating high quality exclusives for it, other wise it's worthless.
Statictically, Sony has been the only company to continue to support their prior consoles with new exclusive game contnet after they have released new consoles on the market.
I had to make that choice for Christmas, I bought myself a PS3 and about 25 games and I'm rocking with the new console.
If you invest in a modern gmaing PC (say $700-$800) you're set for this gen AND next gen.
You'll also get your money's worth in the long run just purely on the amazing free to play games on the PC, and the overall cheaper games thanks to sales and quick price drops in the digital PC market.
You can also tweak your PC for TV based gaming (small form factor, or HTPC form factor case + controller) or standard PC gaming with a mid tower case.
If you don't have the dough for that then getting the consoles might not be abad idea. But obviously, you'll have to re-purchase when the new gen starts (about 1.5 to 2 years)..
This. If you don't follow this guy's advice, you're a poor bastard who can't afford a true gaming experience. If you invest in a modern gmaing PC (say $700-$800) you're set for this gen AND next gen.

Nope, you could always play all the quality games that have been released while you wait for the next gen library to build up.
Hes right... get an x360... it had the highest rated exclusive this year.Only if the parent company is still suporting the console by investing in creating high quality exclusives for it, other wise it's worthless.
