- Christmas 2005, excitement of PGR3 graphics while walking in the game garage mode.

- Nov, 2006, Gears of War; the first game i played entirely in coop mode (without trying the single player). The presentation quality and the first prison level were just unforgettable moments.

- January, 2007: Crackdown, used to rush from work thinking about that game and the agility orbs :P

- Sept, 2007; HALO3 and the grand event that lead to its launch, the excitement, the people waiting in line, and then the hours later playing coop with friends.

- November 2007, Mass Effect, of all those lovely gaming memories, this just tops it all. Just like an excellent sci fi TV series, i wished it never ends. i even fancied of living there on the advanced, clean, and amazingly looking Citidel city :oops:

Mine are:

2006: Seeing the first Ps3 in my town, I was so excited

May 2006: Opening Gears of War playing it in 5:1 and being amazed the first time I chainsawed someone

Summer 07: Playin GeoW multiplayer for about 4 hours a day everyday for 8 weeks, eventually playing it so much it affected myHistory GCSE

Autumn 07: Playing so much Halo 3 Mp that my head hurt

Winter 07: Playing Mass Effect and getting totally immersed

Yes, i think it was long ago agreed Galaxy is a good game. Then again.. people can say anything here..

Uh, well, since i only have a Wii (for the time being), I'd say these were things i remember:

Getting my Wii on Launch, Setting it up and playing Wii Sports.

Playing Resident Evil 4. (I had never played it or any horror type game before)

Loving Super Paper Mario and actually getting a little sad at the end.

Playing Super Mario Galaxy for the first minute, then stopping and going "Whoa! This is crazy.. i feel sick.."

Wii: Twilight Princess: Midna's desperation= YES!

Oh, that's was awesome!

First time playing wiisports during a party i threw.

Zelda TP was a great game. the Wii also allowed me to play Windwaker which was an even better game.

MP3 was my first of the series and it was a good experience.

SMG made me feel happier to play it then any other game this gen.

Best gaming moment of this gen so far.

WiiSports when playing it with my Family

Zelda TP there was a part of the game where without noticing I was standing up and swinging the Wiimote to fight off bad guys....Man that was a blast

I have to agree SMG the whole game.

july, 08: i gots it with zelda TP (played it for over 30 hours)

then i got SMG rez evil UC NMH Brawl fire emblem and like 15-20 games on the VC....the rest is history

My most memorable moments so far this gen.

Playing Wii Sports for the first time.

Playing PS3 Rockband Christmas morning with the family.

Getting to the submarine scene in Uncharted.

Dogfighting in Warhawk.

And coop terrorist hunt with friends on R6: Vegas.

-October 2005- 1. The first time I saw the graphics of games like PGR3 and CoD2 on the X360 -November 2006- 1. Only having to camp at Wal-Mart for a mere 3 hours to get a Wii at midnight release Erkidu

Your lucky I had to wait over night for my Wii. But I did have a blast.

Xbox 360. Some of my favorite memories:

Playing Gears of War for the first time. I was amazed by the graphics. :o

Co op in Crackdown. So much fun jumping from building to buidling and blowing stuff up with a good friend.

Assassin's Creed. Again, I was amazed by the graphics.

Beating Halo 3 on legendary. This is mostly on the list because of the fact I did it with 3 of my friends online. 4 player co op = awesome.

- November 19th 2006: Walking into a store at 12:31 p.m and buying a Wii. Connecting the video and audio cables of my wii at 12:35 p.m and turning it on. 7:55 p.m I wake up in a hospital and my mom beside me saying I suffered a heart attack. lol jk 12:37 p.m playing Wii sports and 1:13 p.m taking the Wii sports game out and putting Zelda tp on and watched the opening movie. I crapped my pants.:P

- April 2007: Playing pokemon diamond and having my very first online Pokemon battle

- June 2007: Pokemon Battle revolution: Opening movie and very first battle at the sunset colosseum and watching the most beautiful Jynx in my life battling against a Palkia :P

- November 2007: Super Mario Galaxy, the whole game. Gears of War and Cod4 PC. Very first online shoot out.

- December 2008: Nvidia 8800 GTX + Crysis + Ultra settings mod. I stare at my monitor drooling for 5 hours straight and after the first mesmerizing effect is sorta over I put my monitor beside my window and compare Crysis to my back yard. Surprisingly Crysis looked 5x better.

- January 2008: No more heroes and Travis's first words in the game after decapitating a guy. "F*CK HEADS!"

And the very best moment:

- March 2008: SSBB and the Subspace emmisary pretty much everything in the game has it's WOOOOW!!! moment but subspace emmisary takes it to new level.

SMG - everything

Brawl - The subspace emmisary is phenominal, but my biggest "HOLY ****" moment was the cutscene after you beat dark zelda.

Condemned - Made me overly paranoid and ready to beat someone to death with a pipe for a straight month

Favorite Gaming Moments this gen

Condemned (360) - I had my 360 hooked up to a monitor in the attic, I beat Condemned in two marathon night sessions where I'd sneak off into the attic when everybody was sleeping and just stayed glued to the monitor. It was awesome, I wasn't so immersed in a game in such a long time.

Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) - Like others have said, so many, many times did this game make me feel like a kid again. It had countless awesome moments.

Bioshock (360 & PC) - I had played the demo on my 360 and I got the full version on my PC. Those first few hours are so awesome. I really felt transported to another world. I got tired of the game half way through though :-(

Wii Sports (Wii) - I got the Wii on launch day and as others have said that first time where you get a bunch of your family or non-gaming friends together and you guys have a blast is the day you realize why the Wii is so successful. It's just plain fun and really does bridge the gap.

Uncharted (PS3) - When my family got a 60'' HDTV and my sisters boyfriend came over with his PS3 and we hooked it up with the HDMI cable and rented Uncharted. It looked so damn awesome. I remember going to sleep that night wondering how awesome a sci-fi or modern world would look with that engine.

Super Metroid (Wii Virtual Console) - I downloaded the game off the Wii's Virtual Console and somewhere half-way through the game I realized that this game which is over a decade old pretty much wipes the floor with any game that came out in the last couple of years. I was actually mad at myself for not getting it when it came out.

Overall the Wii has given me the most memorable moments, from it's Virtual Console memories to getting the whole family involved to making me love Nintendo from a hardcore gamer standpoint again with Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess (I had not owned a GC or N64).

having that first splicer run towards me compleatly out of the blue screaming 'im trying to control myself!!!' in the dark with 5.1 surround. i had to chance my underwear.

riding a song for the first time on audiosurf and seeing how it matched the music perfectly.

pretty much every nuke in world in conflict ever droped.

getting compleatly lost whilst playing stalker, you can walk for hours in that game and just get immersed.

1. The first brawl in SSBB

3. Stepping out of the imperial sewers in Oblivion

4. Finishing the Fight

5. My first time playing HL2

First game this gen was Resistance, awesome 40 player matches online :)

first game that made me say W:oW visuals was Call of Duty 4

first JRPG (my favorite genre) Lost Odyssey

Super Mario Galaxy... was so great, I'm afraid to play it anymore.

Halo 3 coop/vs. I never played a Halo, so it was very fun.

Getting my wii at Launch and playing it all day. Even beating my freind severly on Redsteel when we played it the exact same amount of time while he moans about the Controls.

When I first played Super Mario Galaxy and I realized I would not be playing a game of this quality for quite some time.yellowandmushy

I'll also give honorable mention to mass effect. Pretty much the first WRPG I've ever played. And the characters really left an impression on me.

This gen hasn't been very good to me. I've enjoyed the stuff I have for the PS3, but nothing of it's particularly standout (I suppose the general in GRAW2 telling me to use "extreme prejudice" in a level was pretty funny). With the Wii, I keep asking myself, "Why does anyone care about this thing?"Vampyronight

Wii: The day I got SSBB

Playing Portal and being so totally emersed, same goes for the awesome HL2 episode 2.
