Ya, it's almost useless..you won't be able to play games either since the games are on blu-ray discs. PS3 still has a hardrive though. :O

Really?..I don't even use my Gold membership. I think the last multiplayer game I played was Halo 3 on..September 29th.

i dont think the issue is so much

as much as it is

"without live, software loses half its value on the 360"

it's a problem that they charge for it, and even more of an issue is that even if you do pay, your money doesn't actually contribute to the system

so basically.. i'd own orange box if it weren't for live

(or, if i had a functioning video card still)

i wouldn't say the 360 is entirely useless... i mean silver is still cool for demos whatever

but live just brings down the value of the console as a whole unless you subscribe to gold

It's a good thing Live Silver is free. Still have access to XBL marketplace, friends list, messaging and achievements.

Na but in all seriousness, you can't account all of each platforms sucsess to one certian function. Apart from the Wii. This thread is pointless, especially considering a lot of the 360 owners I know don't have broadband internet or wifi.

Xbox Live is an awesome system and is vital part of Xbox 360, and NOT just a mere tack-on (unlike Wii online). Xbox 360 without XBL is like fish without chips, or cookies without milk.

How about you stop trying to justify your purchise of the PS3, just admit it, it failed. Its expensive its exclusive games suck (easily beaten by xbox 360's). Online is only good for watching porn and royally sucks when compared to xboxlive. Not to mention the fact that PS3's "amazing graphics" don't look any better than the 360's unless you go out and spend a furthertwo thousandon a tv for it!
