as expected, traditional JRPG's on consoles are usually mediocore at best this gen.

Very true indeed. The only two JRPGs (if you use that term to refer to RPGs made in Japan and not on style of RPG) that have scored well were Demon's Souls and VC and both of those games do things very differently from most JRPGs with DS having a more western feel and VC being a strategy rpg with tps elements
I like how the user rating there is 9.0 and the user rating on GS is 9.0... but all the critic reviews are around 8 and 7.5

Kinda like Dragon Ball Z games. It's doesn't mean much. I'll take the opinion of writers of respected publications over fanboys. or maybe like alot of games(exclusives mainly) there seems to be a war between fanboys giving good scores against fanboys giving bad scores. so maybe there are morefanboys giving 10sthen 1s
and to top it off many people that rate it dont even have the game
