i think it is alright.

WoW is awesome until the magic wears off and you realize everything in the game is a huge time sink to keep you paying as you grind away.

Still, nothing beats that first time logging in and the first few months playing.

WOW? That isn't a game; it's a second job, except that you pay them.

WoW is only the best if you don't have anything but WoW to do.

The game simply just isn't enjoyable in short bursts of play. Leveling up and questing eventually become impossible without long straight periods of play.

WOW I agree with you.... I tried playing for 30mins last night, didn't happen just couldn't get into it.... u need at least an hour and half to actually start getting into it.

The only thing that kept me going was the community aspect, grouping with with friends and jumping in ventrilo or whatever was tonnes of fun (but to some degree, the same goes with any multiplayer game).

Playing by yourself on the otherhand..a colonoscopy with no anaesthetic is more enjoyable.

I'd actually consider it one of the best. I don't understand the comparison with OOT and other SP games.The aforementioned games are funnels leading you to a narrow conclusion. Wow is the exact opposite and opens up more and more as you play.

WoW is a virtual world with a wide variety of things to do in it. Despite being casual friendly for an MMO, the player determines a lot of the quality of their experience. Whether to group, not group, run that dungeon, do PvP, or just knock out some quests and so on. Where some games may have very memorable moments, those moments are usually a predefined segment of the game. In WoW, what is memorable is often entirely unique to the player.

Sure, I've rarely played an entire expansion without quiting for a few months out of boredom. The thing is, how many games could I log even half the amount of hours and enjoy as much as WoW? (I can count them on one hand)

Meh, its not even the best MMO ever imo (Ultima Online is the one MMO I have actually really enjoyed over the years).

It's actually quite a bit less repetitive than most other MMOs I can think of, and the gameplay really isn't all that shallow if you do high level PvP and high end raiding. The game is designed to be casual accessable while still offering things for the more hardcore. I haven't played in a while, but it does have a lot of misconceptions about it by people who dont understand it or played very little.

Constant grinding is not my idea of fun, so no.

Good god no, WoW is a boring pile of **** for the kids. It was fun for a while, years ago, but that didn't last long. I'll keep the $60 entry fee and the $15 a month and buy a new game every 4 months instead and be far more entertained.
